Who Can Keep The Moon Private By Love - Chapter 2.2
When she first met Jiang Haoyue, Lu Miao wore a yellow skirt.
She is so active that she jumps around mischievously when she has nothing to do. Lin Wenfang didn’t like her wearing skirts because it was inconvenient to wash them.
Because she rarely wore skirts, Lu Miao was very excited. She secretly pulled up the gauze skirt with her left hand under the seat and buttoned the embroidery of the small flower, feeling out the thread on the edge of the petal.
When Lin Wenfang saw it, she couldn’t help getting a lecture: “That’s outrageous! You’re already in the second grade, but you don’t look like a girl.”
Lu Miao is a simple girl.
“Do you remember what Mother taught you to say?” Lin Wenfang said anxiously.
Lu Miao nodded vigorously: “I remember. I remember.”
Then she turned around and entered the hospital. While Lu Yongfei and his wife talked to Jiang Yi, the skinny child spread her feet and ran away.
There was a distinctive smell of disinfectant in the hospital. Lu Miao felt it smelled better than the earthy smell of rain outside. In science class, she learned that disinfectants effectively eliminate bacteria.
There are six beds in each pediatric ward. She walked to the patients’ beds one by one and guessed which child was called Jiang Haoyue by her parents.
What’s more mysterious is that Lu Miao could recognize him at a glance.
The boy slept in the innermost bed in the ward. The window was closed tightly, but he seemed still cold, and most of his body was wrapped under the quilt, revealing only a bloodless face and a hand hanging off the IV bottle.
Lu Miao straightened her yellow skirt and stood like a lady in front of his bed.
The sheets were white, and the gauze on the boy’s hands was also white.
The smell of the disinfectant here seems to be much stronger than in other places. Lu Miao thought: If it could kill many bacteria, he must be the cleanest person in this room.
When their parents entered the room, Lu Miao was doing the task that Lin Wenfang had given her.
“Hello, Brother Jiang Haoyue. My name is Lu Miao. I’m in the second grade of Southeast Elementary School, and I’m eight years old this year.
Her pronunciation was precise, and her words were round, but she also knew she couldn’t speak loudly in the ward, so she deliberately lowered her voice.
Lu Yongfei saw that Jiang Haoyue’s eyes were closed, and he was sleeping. Just as he was about to rush over to tell his daughter not to disturb the patient and let him have a rest, Lin Wenfang quietly held him back.
“It’s okay. Lu Miao’s voice is not loud enough to wake people up.”
The couple glanced at Jiang Yi from the corner of their eyes, and he didn’t say anything.
Lu Miao didn’t quite understand why when she was halfway through speaking, the brother on the bed suddenly closed his eyes.
It never occurred to her that he didn’t like her.
She just thought, maybe this brother is sleepy. After all, he is injured, and it is easy to get tired. When she attends classes, she gets drowsy and suddenly falls asleep.
“Brother, you have got to get well soon. Let’s raise chickens together.”
Lu Miao can’t help but be happy when she talks about chickens.
Although her brother was asleep, she had not yet finished speaking the words her mother had instructed her to say, so she kindly sped up her speech.
“From now on, you will have one more sister, and it is me.”
Afraid he might forget who she was, Lu Miao especially reminded him: “My name is Lu Miao, and you can call me Miao Miao.”
“I’ll give my chocolate to you!
After giving this piece of chocolate to Jiang Haoyue, she will get two pieces of chocolate when she goes home.
Thus, Lu Miao generously stuffed the chocolate into Jiang Haoyue’s hand.
Lu Miao loosened the palms clenched in Jiang Haoyue’s infused hands. He opened his fingers and forcibly gave the present.
With such an action, she accidentally pulled the needle tube.
Jiang Haoyue frowned. He had to continue pretending because he feigned sleeping earlier.
On the way home from the hospital, Lu Yongfei asked Lu Miao how she could recognize Jiang Haoyue.
“Could it be that you can read the name tag beside the hospital bed and recognize Jiang Haoyue’s name?”
Lu Miao shook his head. Then, Lu Yongfei and Lin Wenfang said, “As expected.”
“I don’t know. I merely guess.”
Lu Miao thought about it for a while. After racking her brain to explain that intuition, she said, “In the ward, he is different from others… He is the best looking.”
