Who Can Keep The Moon Private By Love - Chapter 5.2
After the winter vacation, Lu Miao rarely saw Jiang Haoyue using a wheelchair, and he could walk smoothly.
Seeing Jiang Haoyue recovering well, Lu Yongfei was not less happy than Jiang Yi.
He told Lu Miao, “When school starts, Jiang Haoyue will be able to go to school with you.”
Lu Miao was super excited after hearing this. That night, she went to Jiang Haoyue’s house and asked him about it.
“Jiang Haoyue, I heard from my father that you are ready to return to school. Is it true?”
Jiang Haoyue was reading a book, and without looking up, he said, “Yes.”
“Oh, my god, that’s great,” Lu Miao fantasized dancingly: “I can go to school with you, and our daily classes are the same, so our exercise books are the same. Then I can copy your homework.”
He had no opinion about her copying his homework, but Jiang Haoyue listened and heard something wrong.
“Why do you think I will be in the second grade with you?”
“You missed a lot of classes,” Lu Miao said with justification. “Our second-grade classes are no better than those in the first-grade classes, and it is difficult to learn. The teacher will teach many new things with so many classes every day. Thus, you will miss many things you can learn if you don’t attend class.”
Therefore, she concluded, “You must be in the second grade with me.”
Jiang Haoyue pursed his lips tightly and glared at her angrily.
“I’m in third grade.” If he goes to the second grade, he’ll repeat the lesson. Therefore, he doesn’t want to repeat the class.
Lu Miao was puzzled by his stare. Although she regretted not being able to copy his homework, the grade he was in was not a big deal for her because she could go to the third grade to play with him anyway. Hence, something else could divert Lu Miao’s attention within two seconds.
“Jiang Haoyue, what are you looking at?” She smiled and leaned over to read the book in his hand.
Jiang Haoyue quickly moved his book away, not letting her hand touch it.
“Go away. Your hands are so dirty.” He turned his back, hiding from her like she was a pathogen.
“Oh,” Lu Miao looked at her hands and found that there was indeed residue on them from having just eaten snacks, so she put her fingers in her mouth and licked them: “It’s clean now.”
She turned around nimbly and pressed his shoulders, ready to grab what was in his hand.
“Don’t touch me and my book!”
Lu Miao’s strength was so great that Jiang Haoyue was pressed tightly against her, unable to move. After wriggling back and forth a few times, he was irritated: “I’m reading Journey to the West. If I show it to you, can you understand it?”
Even if Lu Miao didn’t look at him, she could hear that she was being provoked.
“I can understand.” He got it right that she really couldn’t understand it. Lu Miao didn’t even like to read Chinese textbooks, so how could she read extracurricular books?
“No, you certainly don’t understand it,” said Jiang Haoyue, with bright eyes and an inexplicably determined tone. “You’re in the second grade, while I’m in the third grade, and I’ll always be a grade older than you. You can’t understand what I can understand.”
“Nonsense! Who hasn’t seen Journey to the West? I was watching it on TV the day before yesterday!”
Lu Miao brought out her vague memory and counted her fingers in a pretentious manner: “White bone spirit, golden baby, silver baby…”
Jiang Haoyue immediately exposed her: “It’s the King of the Golden Horn and the King of the Silver Horn.”
Lu Miao’s face was now completely ruined. She put her hands on her hips and retorted: “Yes, I don’t watch Journey to the West very often. You can ask me about Ultraman Tiga! Do you know the super ancient monster Gorzan and the rock monster Jakuma? Hahahaha, you’re in third grade, and you still don’t know it!”
He didn’t let her down the steps. He covered his mouth on one side, made a posture of stifling laughter, and looked at her like watching the play.
“Jiang Haoyue!” Lu Miao slapped the table and became annoyed: “Why are you doing this? I won’t be with you anymore!”
She crossed her hands, pouted, stepped hard step by step, and walked to the door of his house.
After releasing the explosive break-up speech, Lu Miao gave Jiang Haoyue so much time to apologize. Still, he didn’t even intend to apologize to her and didn’t come to chase her.
“Humph!” Lu Miao expressed her anger forcefully, shook her head, and ran back to her home.
Jiang Haoyue’s door slammed shut after she left, fearing she might return.
“Humph!! Humph!!!” Lu Miao roared a few more times outside his house, louder than when he closed the door.
The chickens on the first floor were so frightened by her that they fluttered their wings.
“What are you doing, Lu Miao? You were screaming there like a ghost in the middle of the night.” Lin Wenfang opened the door, grabbed Lu Miao’s ear, and pulled her in.
Recently, Lin Wenfang’s mantra has changed from “Xiao Jiang is such a good boy” to “Lu Miao is more and more outrageous.”
All day long, Lu Miao shut herself up at home to watch Journey to the West and had to make the TV sound very loudly.
When it was time for the broadcast, she would turn on the TV to watch it even if Lu Miao was halfway through her meal.
As soon as the theme song’s melody was broadcast, Lu Miao was excited, and the unpleasant singing came from the room.
“You carry the burden. I lead the horse, usher in the sunrise and send off the sunset; smooth the bumps, become a road, fight the difficulties and dangers, and start again and again….”
Lin Wenfang advised her: “Don’t go. The dishes are cold. Let’s finish the meal first.”
“No, I must watch my favorite Journey to the West.” Lu Miao stared at the screen intently. She was unmoved by the delicacies on the table.
Speaking of whether she likes watching, every time it is time for Ultraman Tiga, Lu Miao holds the remote control and keeps scanning the clock on the wall from the corner of her eye.
“Why don’t you go see Ultraman?” Lu Yongfei sincerely suggested it to her daughter.
“No!” Lu Miao told herself at the top of her voice: “I like to watch Journey to the West the most.”
