[Vol. 6] Chapter 114: First Meeting, Long Time No See~
Without a doubt, this silver light pattern is a sealing formation.
It’s similar to the [Seven Stars Evil-Subduing Seal] Violet has seen before, but on a much higher level. Despite the differences in complexity, its essence is quite similar, and it’s likely created by the same force.
Though the vast space in front of her is already impressive, the silver light pattern surrounding the giant pillar is clearly just a small part of the entire sealing formation.
The true core of the formation is likely still buried underground, centered around the [Six-Line Array Palace], suppressing a chaotic beast deep below in the mysterious realm of chaos. The place where Violet stands is an exception.
Yes, this Taotie seems to have extended part of its body beyond the earth. While Violet hasn’t seen the full form of the chaotic beast, its size likely exceeds any creature she has ever encountered.
Even the fire giant in the “Illusionary Realm”, the God of Blazing Heat and Explosions, only stood a few thousand meters tall. But just the visible part of Taotie’s body already exceeds that by far.
While strength isn’t solely determined by size, when it comes to destructive power, there’s a strong correlation. And Taotie is a powerful enemy that required the intervention of the [Supreme Sacred Fox God] to be sealed.
No wonder Xiao Kong was so cautious about it.
It seems that Taotie’s seal isn’t perfect. Violet isn’t sure why the Fox God didn’t seal this part of the beast underground, but it’s clear that leaving it like this has created a potential threat.
However, Violet isn’t focused on that at the moment.
At the end of this quiet, vast spiral corridor, there’s a figure standing still on the silver light pattern, facing away from Violet, staring at the imprisoned form of Taotie in the center.
It’s a young woman.
She has stunning silver hair, almost the same color as the light pattern beneath her feet. Her figure is tall, slim, and graceful, with perfect proportions.
She wears a light blue, form-fitting robe, and beneath her silver hair, a short, refined cloak is tied around her neck, covering her fair skin. Her presence exudes a sense of elegance, wisdom, and nobility, so strong that it seems to permeate the hot air around the underground seal, invoking a sense of awe and submission in those who see her.
The young woman had an ancient square jade hanging from her waist, a pale blue color that emitted a soft warmth, shielding her from the surrounding high temperature and active energy. Her slender wrists were wrapped in translucent white silk gloves, and she held them behind her back, as though she were deep in thought or waiting for something.
When she sensed the presence and footsteps of another, she quickly turned around and met Violet’s silver-blue gaze.
For a moment, it felt as though they were meeting after a long time, yet also as if it were their very first encounter.
A strange silence fell over them both. Their gazes locked for a long time before Violet smiled gently, her voice breaking the stillness.
“Should I say… it’s nice to meet you?”
“……”
The familiar cold, handsome face, the sharp eyes. Yet her response left Violet both understanding and, in a way, slightly disappointed.
“You know me.”
Hen’s voice was as clear and confident as ever, almost identical to the memory Violet held, and for a fleeting moment, she felt as though she had returned to that game Illusion World, back to the day they first met.
It also felt as though she had gone back even further, to a time long past.
The black-haired girl smiled again, trying to keep her emotions in check and hide them from her face. She calmly responded, “Maybe. I know someone who looks just like you… in every way. But I can’t be sure if you’re her. I thought I’d find the answer today, but it seems… you don’t know either.”
The silver-haired girl nodded, taking a step forward, taking control of the conversation as always.
“Then, who are you?”
“Heh, good question.”
Gradually calming from the emotional surge of their reunion, Violet followed the lead of the silver-haired girl. She knew that Hen was a dominant person. Her words were always concise, seemingly perfect and unshakable, but from the way their eyes had briefly met, Violet was certain that Hen’s heart wasn’t as calm as it appeared on the surface.
Violet readied herself, prepared to strike back with strength but not sharpness.
“You ask who I am, but in reality, wasn’t it you who led me here all along?”
The silver-haired girl seemed somewhat surprised by this statement. She raised an eyebrow, her cold expression softening slightly with a touch of approval.
“I haven’t guided anyone… at least not until now, when I was unaware of your existence. I was just doing what I needed to do,” she replied, still not moving closer, her voice low and steady. “Prove it. Prove you’re the person I’ve been waiting for. If you are, you’ll know what to do.”
“Ah, of course~”
Violet felt a long-lost sense of joy and warmth rise in her heart. It was just as it should be, just as it had to be.
This smooth, seamless understanding, like gears perfectly meshing, was the key to why she and Hen could become such close, open friends. With just a few words or even the smallest trace of a clue, one could easily read the other’s intent.
This comfort was different from the kind of intimate trust she shared with her dragon girl, yet it was another form of deep, intrinsic connection.
In that moment, Violet fully understood.
The girl standing before her was her long-lost close friend, Hen. There might be some differences in certain aspects, but in essence, there was no doubt. She was Hen.
Without making her wait any longer, Violet raised her hand and summoned a radiant magical array.
“Contract Summon: Little Fang.”
A golden giant hound slowly emerged from the array, exuding the ancient, primal energy of chaos and malice, its deep growl filling the air.
“ROAR……”
It looked around, its gaze sweeping across the empty silver space before finally resting on the thick pillar bound in the center and the silver-haired girl standing silently before it.
“My master… I sense a dangerous presence.”
“Mm.”
Clearly, as the child of the [Ancestral Dragon], Yazi was highly sensitive to the presence of Taotie, a being reportedly linked to “destruction.” Even though it had no knowledge of the situation, it instinctively detected something unusual.
Violet gently patted the large dog’s head, which instinctively moved to protect her, its teeth bared towards Hen. She comforted it in a soft voice.
“It’s alright, Little Fang. I’m not asking you to fight. Just show her your true form.”
“True form?”
The golden hound paused for a moment, then, through the contract, received more detailed information. After a brief hesitation, it nodded slightly.
“…Understood. If this is my master’s will, I shall obey. Please step back.”
“Alright.”
Yazi turned its fierce gaze towards Hen, who was still standing in place, not interfering with the exchange between the hound and its master. After a moment of silence, it let out a roar unlike any beast’s, more akin to a dragon’s fierce cry.
“ROAR!!!!”
Its body quickly expanded, dark red filling its fierce eyes. Its golden fur turned into thick scales, its limbs and claws grew sharper and more powerful, and a curved horn, like a sword, extended from its head. Something no mere hound should possess.
“WHOOSH!!”
Its massive tail swept through the air with a sound like the slashing of a blade, tearing through the air with sharp, fabric-ripping noise. The overwhelming, chaotic force of the beast surged, its fury erupting like a storm.
“HUM~”
The gem hanging from Hen’s waist glowed, forming an invisible barrier that separated the wild, primal energy. She was not intimidated by the pressure, nor by the terrifying appearance of the beast. Instead, her expression shifted, revealing a distinct smile. A smile of “pleasure.”
“Yazi, the second child of the Dragon, very good… You are the one I’ve been waiting for… the destined one.”
