A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 138.1
Litty, Studying the Mathias Religion
Litty visited the Great Temple in the afternoon, replacing Ennely. It was a simple request for cleaning work, but it was a standard request in the Church of Saint Mathias, where requests to kill were forbidden.
Litty was unable to accept the time-consuming request to pick up the samples because she had to leave the Holy City. Gritting her teeth, Litty set about cleaning the windows of the Great Temple.
“Don’t you use a ladder?” (Priest)
“No, I can reach it.” (Litty)
“What?” (Priest)
“Taa!” (Litty)
Everyone was transfixed by the sight of her jumping up to the window, which was three stories above the ground, to clean the window.
Even the priest who showed her around had no comment. They were simply shocked at witnessing what was happening with their mouths agape.
“Teyayaya!” (Litty)
After a few moments of adjusting her position, she ran down the wall and wiped down the windows in turn. Litty also tackled areas that had not been cleaned for a long time. As soon as she landed, she got a round of applause from those who had visited the Great Temple.
“How did you do that just now?!” (Priest)
“What was that?” “Some kind of skill?”
“It’s magic!” “No, it’s Mathias’s blessings!”
“It was thanks to Mathias’ guidance…” (Priest)
Although it was not for the purpose of gaining applause, Litty was convinced that Mathias’s followers were still normal people, even if they were from a different country.
They appreciated and admired what was good. Litty was not a religious person, but she reaffirmed that all people have something in common.
She almost forgot that someone had helped Clarine escape and that they were here to investigate.
Litty was trying to understand these people in her own way.
After performing a trick like high-speed window cleaning, she landed boldly in front of them.
“Whoa! You scared the heck out of me…” (Priest)
“Excuse me, I’d like to learn more about Mathias Faith.” (Litty)
“Oh, I didn’t expect you to request that… Bishop! I need your help!” (Priest)
The bishop soon appeared after being informed and agreed to teach Litty while showed her around smiling. Then as they moved along around the Great Temple, Litty was absorbing all kinds of knowledge about the origins of the Mathias Faith, its philosophy, taboos, and so on.
Some of the information was difficult for Litty to understand. However, she did not dismiss it easily because such preconceived notions would only be a hindrance for her to understand these people.
“I admire your diligence. This is probably due to the guidance of Mathias-sama. Oh, the sun is almost down…” (Bishop)
“Thank you very much for everything you’ve done for me today!” (Litty)
“It’s also been a pleasure for me to meet an adventurer from the outside like yourself.” (Bishop)
As far as Litty could observe, the bishop did not seem like a man who had any ill intentions, and although she had loaned Myan to Ennely, she was at least confident that the bishop was not lying about the goodwill he had shown her.
“Well, it’s about time… Oh? Those two, again…” (Bishop)
The bishop found an old couple. The old man was holding back the staggering old woman.
“Guests, the open hours are over.” (Bishop)
“Oh, I’m sorry… My wife insisted, so I just…” (Guest 1)
“My daughter…. My daughter is in here…” (Guest 2)
