A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 143.1
Ex-Piece, Getting a Collaborator
“I can’t believe it… I knew that the Great Holy Mother was not ill!” (Anel)
“I can’t believe that this Mirai girl over here is really the daughter of the Great Holy Mother…” (Bishop 1)
Bishop Anel and the rest of the anti-pope faction were surprised to see the Great Holy Mother projected on the magic tool.
Dozens of people, including the bishop and priests, were gathered at a church in the Holy City.
The priests, whom Roma had come into contact with when she performed dances over a series of days, was the clue that she found for their success.
In the course of the friendship she established with bishops, Roma trusted them, and they trusted Roma in exchange.
“What does the Pope have in mind doing this…?” (Anel)
“In the first place, that sanctuary has been suspicious for a long time!” (Bishop 1)
“Let’s file a complaint with the Pope right away!” (Bishop 2)
“He won’t listen to us if we do that. It will only jeopardize our position.” (Bishop 3)
They all spoke their minds.
It was good that they had gathered, but Roma was still troubled.
They have to move on from here to the next step, but that was the problem.
“Let’s go into the sanctuary and help the Great Holy Mother.” (Litty)
“Li, Litty!” (Roma)
“From what Ennely-san has seen, it looks like there won’t be any major movements until the Inauguration Ceremony of the Great Holy Mother. That means something might happen on the day of the Great Holy Inauguration.” (Kuufa)
“What do you mean?” (Litty)
If Clarine was to become the next Great Holy Mother, what would happen to Aisha?
And if Aisha were to be locked up after the inauguration, it was easy for Roma to imagine what would happen next.
Mathias religion was based on the principle of not killing, but if they went this far, there was no telling what they would do to Aisha or to the people who supported her.
She could only assume the worst and prepare for it accordingly.
Then one of the bishops spoke up.
“What would you do after you rescued her?” (Bishop 2)
“First, we’ll take her to see Mirai-chan. Then we’ll have both of them speak the truth in front of everyone.” (Litty)
“Won’t that lead into chaos! Worst of all, there will be a riot! The Pope would know this, so he is probably thinking of something to deal with the situation in case it happens!” (Bishop 1)
“Please…” (Kuufa)
“Please…” (Litty)
It was surprisingly Kuufa who bowed before Litty.
While the bishops could not say anything, Mirai also bowed quietly.
“Let this child… Please let her see her mother. I know it’s going to be hard, but I don’t think we can let this situation go on. I don’t know much about this country or the Mathias religion, but you are all being deceived by the Pope…. Is that really okay with you?” (Kuufa)
“Of course, it’s not okay with us, but if it keeps the peace…” (Bishop 1)
“At first, it may indeed bring confusion, but I’m sure the situation will improve over time.” (Kuufa)
“And what if the situation doesn’t improve?” (Bishop 1)
“We’ll do our best to change things little by little!” (Kuufa)
Kuufa said sharply which surprised even Litty.
After all, she was a girl whom everyone thought was quiet.
“Humans can’t help but think that it’s safer to leave things as they are…. That’s also what I thought at the time… but when I took a step forward and got out of that awful situation…. Now that I remember the past, I feel horrified. I know that if I hadn’t done that, I would have been ruined one day…” (Kuufa)
“… Maybe so… but…” (Bishop 1)
“…and of course, I know it’s difficult to take that step forward! It may be impossible if you are alone! But in my case, there was someone there for me… So, you know…!” (Kuufa)
