A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 144.1
Ex-Piece on the Move
“I’m glad to see that it’s a beautiful sunny day for the inauguration of the Great Holy Mother.” (Priest 1)
“Yes, it really is. But I’m worried about Lady Aisha.” (Priest 2)
People were eagerly awaiting the inauguration of the Great Holy Mother.
Vendors had set up stores on the main street and were busy making a profit.
On this particular day, all facilities were closed, and people were concentrated in the Great Temple.
Under such circumstances, the bishops and the priests were making the rounds. One of them blurted out, “Do you know? There are rumors that thieves are trying to break into the Great Temple…”
“What nonsense!” (Priest 1)
“No, actually, I overheard a rumor. There is a rumor that there is a treasure in the back of the Great Temple.” (Priest 2)
“Hahahaha! What a ridiculous rumor!” (Priest 1)
“No, it’s not ridiculous at all.” (Priest 2)
The priest, with a mystified expression on his face, said to his companions.
“The day before, there were a number of people who claimed to have seen suspicious figures in the area around the Great Temple. One of those people said that suspicious figures were asking about the situation on the east side.” (Priest 1)
“The east side… But it will be difficult to cross that high wall and the pond.” (Priest 2)
“They are thieves, you know? They may be trying to get in by means we can’t even imagine.” (Priest 1)
“Hmm… Well, that’s…” (Priest 2)
“If thieves somehow managed to invade, it would not be a simple matter. This is not the time to be leisurely patrolling around here.” (Priest 1)
The priest’s words pushed the others into silence.
“…Let’s go around the east side too, just to be sure.” (Priest 1)
“That’s right. To be fair, the thieves won’t make such a big move in a place with so many pedestrians.” (Priest 2)
The priests who had been patrolling turned on their heels and changed course to the east side of the Great Temple.
As they did so, one priest glanced behind him and signaled to a certain group of people with his eyes.

“Priestess Elaine! There is a report of a suspicious group on the east side!” (Priest)
“What? On the east side?” (Elaine)
Elaine, who had risen to the position of chief priest in a short period of time, was in a good mood to the last minute.
Since she had been entrusted by Archbishop Ryouhou with the command of security, she was proud that she had put in place a security force that would leave no room for insects to crawl in.
This news immediately caused a wrinkle to appear between her eyebrows.
“What are you doing! Catch them now!” (Elaine)
“Report! A suspicious group is approaching the Great Temple from the west!” (West Priest)
Elaine was puzzled by the priest’s new report, who arrived before her exhausted.
She could not have predicted that so much trouble would occur, given the thorough security measures she had put in place. Then another batch of priests came to report.
“You guys! You two, what is it!” (Elaine)
“Report! There’s a brawl on the main street between skilled adventurers! Chief Priest, we need backup!”
“We don’t have any personnel available. You’ll have to deal with that yourselves!”
“But if the commotion continues to grow, it can affect the inauguration ceremony!”
Elaine pondered.
While the success of the inauguration of the new Great Holy Mother would lead to her own promotion, it would also be a major responsibility if it failed due to any problem.
Clucking her tongue, Elaine decided.
“…Let’s go now.” (Elaine)
Elaine left the hall of the Great Temple.
The one who came in to replace her was a bishop. He was tasked to directing people on where to go, for anyone who had arrived late.
