A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 79.2
Litty’s eyes were watering, but she held them back. After leaving the Topas town, Litty was able to make connections with a wide range of people, from ordinary people to aristocrats, but essentially nothing was different.
“I am so happy today. So many people worked for someone like me…” (Litty)
“If you understand that, you’ll be an even better adventurer.” (Natasha)
“Yes, I will be an adventurer as good as Natasha-san.” (Litty)
“You’re good up front, but watch your back, as well.” (Roma)
Roma, who came in late, put pressure on Litty. Just as Litty was always moving forward, Roma was also doing her best to catch up to her.
Litty composed herself, thinking that she might be getting carried away again, and thanked Roma for supporting her.
“When I heard you were taken into custody, I was really… scared.” (Roma)
“I’m sorry I made you worry…” (Litty)
“Oh, no, it’s nothing. It’s just that…” (Roma)
“That’s why I made this move to gather everyone.” (Ilysis)
Ilysis interrupted Roma’s words while Aldis and the others were taken away, leaving Litty behind with the people Ilysis brought.
“Ilysis-san, you did this for me…?” (Litty)
“That’s part of it, but I couldn’t leave Baider and Yggdrasia alone. And the most important part is yet to unfold…” (Ilysis)
“What, what’s that?” (Litty)
“…Yggdrasia’s downfall will move the world, for better or worse.” (Ilysis)
“Yes, that’s right.” (Litty)
Almost everyone kneeled as soon as the King entered the scene, and Litty was a step behind, mimicking the others, but the King did not seem to pay any attention to them.
On the contrary, the King’s eyes were on Litty. Redner, standing by his side, did the same.
“The magic stones that Yggdrasia found at the bottom of the world are far more efficient than conventional ones. Many industries are developing because of it, but that’s not all. The ecology of unknown demons has been revealed, and mankind is now preparing to face them. Furthermore, the medicinal herbs that have been collected have managed to completely cure some incurable diseases… They have accomplished so much that they have moved the world… they are truly heroes to the world.” (King)
All listened to the king’s words. The only thing that stood out was his waywardness in the courtroom, but there was something else to talk about.
“Litty, you had an unfortunate history with Yggdrasia, didn’t you? Does this clear your grudge?” (King)
“No…” (Litty)
“Are you thinking of punishing them more?” (King)
“No, I’m not interested in those people.” (Litty)
“Not interested, huh?” (King)
The dignity of the head of a country, displayed in the courtroom, pierced everyone present. Anger or disappointment? Here was a great man who would not let anyone easily find out what he was thinking.
He had the power to end the lives of everyone in the room with a single word, but Litty was not afraid of him.
“You are acting like it’s someone else’s problem.” (King)
No one in the courtroom was at ease. Litty had no experience in dealing with royalty. Even if she had no intention of doing so, there was a good chance she would be judged unfavorably.
Even if she did not mean any harm, she was expected to choose her words carefully. This was especially true when talking to those in power.
Fortunately, King had no intention of nitpicking and holding Litty accountable.
Not knowing King’s intentions, some of the participants were wondering what to do, and they thought about stepping forward to speak for Litty.
“No matter what, Litty, if you hadn’t met them, you wouldn’t have ended up like this. Many people still hail them as heroes because of their past deeds and contribution to mankind. What would happen if words got out that it was you who was responsible for their downfall?”
