Hi, we are planning to drop AGTM from next month, so please don't join Patreon membership.

Kuufa knew what had entailed by her actions, and what she had almost done when she had gone berserk.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”

“Master, don’t go away, please…”

Because of not being able to move her arms, Kuufa could not hug her. In her haste for finding a good outcome, she moved on her own and did not consult with anyone who could have helped her.

Knowing that she could have lost her life, Kuufa almost sank into the depths of self-loathing again.

“Oh, right… The shark man was captured by the Knights because of you, so don’t worry about him.”

“Shark man?”

“He was the one you were chasing, wasn’t he?”

Aquaria implied that although it was not a praiseworthy action, the goal had been achieved. Still, Kuufa was remorseful.

She should have left the Grand Sharks alone. If she wanted to protect the girl, she should not have gone on her own.

Kuufa could not face up to the troubles she had caused to the people around, when she was driven by a selfish sense of responsibility.

“Master, I’ll make the pain go away…”

“Huh?”

Kuufa, embraced by the girl, felt a strange feeling in her body. The fatigue was still there, but at least the pain in her joints was gone.

The physical damage caused by the overuse of magic power had disappeared. Curious, Kuufa looked back at the girl and saw a pale shade of golden light emanating from her.

“Um, is that-“

A deafening popping sound reached all of them. Shards of windows and wall were strewn across the floor, and an empty bed was overturned.

“There you are, you are… you are really here…”

The wall of the room on the third floor had a huge hole, replaced by the head of a giant shark impaled in its place and showing a man riding it’s back.

The voice they heard earlier was from the man riding the shark.

He continued, “You’ve given me a hard time, you know…? It was freaking hard to find you… You know that, right?”

“Uuh… hii…”

The first to react to this person was the girl clinging to Kuufa.

Kuufa, finally taking in the situation, felt her heart constrict.

“My life is over…. I’m going to be chased for the rest of my life, and I can’t even sleep peacefully anymore. Why did I end up like this? I’ve only killed a few people…”

Litty and Roma were already in a fighting stance, but Kuufa was worn out. On top of that, they were suddenly attacked by someone they did not wish to face. And then, of all people, there was the girl who suddenly made an outburst of words.

“Ending someone’s life is not a good thing… You shouldn’t do that… I was taught not to do things that people don’t like. I’m talking about things within the bounds of common sense…. That means I have to conclude that you don’t have common sense…”

The girl had tears in her eyes and was showing her anger openly. Moreover, it was obvious who the point of reference was.

The girl shuddered and trembled and would not leave Kuufa. After speaking her mind, she pressed her face against the blanket.

“You’re a scary child, you know… At your age, you’re bringing people into trouble… You are still too young to understand how hard it is to live when reaching my age. You don’t even understand why I do things like this!”

“You… what terrible things you have done to this child…”

Kuufa’s anger began to boil over again. Of course, she was not in a perfect state and her link to Aquaria was not working properly.

Still, Kuufa struggled to control her rising emotions as she knew that the consequences of her anger could be disastrous.
