Hi, we are planning to drop AGTM from next month, so please don't join Patreon membership.

Little by little, Kuufa was learning how to deal with her power. Even in this situation, she was trying to move forward.

“If you think I’m just going to run and hide, you’re wrong. I’m going to kill as many of you and your friends as I can!”

“You’re just being stupid…”

“Aah! So what? And you’re going to involve yourself in this as well? That’s good! It was the right choice to simply kill everyone after all!”

Litty replaced Kuufa and took the lead. After quickly equipping her bow and shooting an arrow at the person aboard the shark, she immediately closed the distance between them.

It was a two-point simultaneous attack, but the arrow was easily evaded. Litty’s spear that followed was also repelled by the Shark Armor.

“A mere Rank 3…….challenging this Rank 2, Jozu! Hahaha! Fine! Bring it on!”

Litty observed the shark along with Jozu’s two spears as best as she could. The spears were particularly noteworthy to her observation.

It was not just a normal pair of spears, but each had a pattern carved into its blade, matching each other.

“Litty, move away for now…”

“I can’t!”

Litty was right. If she pulled back, Jozu would be able to invade more into the building. Considering the damage and collapse, the only way out was to push him outside at all costs.

But then came the problem. They had no way to properly deal with the enemy’s ability to fly once it exited the floor.

Even with her winged shoes, she could only stay in the air for a short time at most, and depending on Jozu’s tactics, she might not even be able to respond to attacks from him after chasing the shark mid-flight.

“Spiral thrust!”

“Haah!”

Roma also attacked, daring to release a straight line skill in order to drive him out. However, the two had a miscalculation.

It was the power of the giant shark. The shark’s head received a spiral thrust and Roma’s sword at the same time.

The shark’s head barely moved back, but right after that. The shark moved forward with a gulp, opening and closing its large mouth to chew through the metal bed.

“What a powerful bite…!”

Roma shouted in surprise, and Litty tried to break through again. The shark took aim at Litty and showed its fangs.

Litty slid under the shark and tried to stab her weapon into its jaws.

But the shark twisted its body and pulled itself out of the broken wall.

“Come here, brat!”

This was the third floor; Jozu knew this and was provoking them.

Roma hesitated, but Litty sprinted forward, which made Jozu’s eyes widen. Even Jozu was taken aback by her unhesitating suicide attack, but he calmly turned back to keep his distance.

Litty closed the distance with a kick in the air with her winged shoes, and then unleashed Hundred Thrust with her spear.

But that too only came up empty as Jozu rotated with the shark to dodge it.

“Idiot! Fall down just like that!”

Litty started to fall, just as Jozu had declared.

Jozu was convinced that this was the end of it.

“Haaa!”

However, Litty landed on the roof of the building with both feet on the ground. Jozu, missing his target, looked down at Litty in disbelief.

“Is that bastard for real…!”

At that moment, Jozu’s arm shivered. Something inside him felt like it was warning him.

It was not an opponent he could not win against, that was for sure. But it was not a good idea to keep fighting, he thought, listening to the warning bells ringing inside him.

“Un, he’s strong! But I won’t lose!”

“Myamyan!”

Even though he was clearly superior to her, she did not appear to be mentally overwhelmed. In fact, she was even enjoying herself, which made Jozu’s sense of pride rise to the surface.

“Who is the invader?”

“Evacuate the people!”

Jozu was in a dangerous situation: either deal with Litty or run away.

As if having no choice to pick, Jozu prevented himself from getting distracted by Litty. Compared to when he was as old as Litty, he was not even Rank 5, and those days reminded him of the rough life he had. However, when he turned 40, he earned a high amount of pride upon reaching Rank 2.

“Being used by a young hero is humiliating enough… but now in a place like this, I would be challenged by a kid like you, don’t be so conceited! You don’t even have the common sense to respect your elders! I’m sick of it, especially people like you!”

In terms of promotion pace, it wasn’t bad, but that was no longer relevant to him who did succeed to reach his rank. Right now however, his position was vanquished, and he was being hunted as a criminal.

He had an argument with the adventurer party “Wind Traveler” and killed them because of their arrogance. But that cost him everything, and he was now on the run.

“Yggdrasia! That little slave! The knights down there and you! You made me look like a fool! I’m sick, sick, sick, sick of it all!”

Although he had succumbed to the overwhelming presence of Yggdrasia, his resentment remained.

Having made himself look good by flattering Yggdrasia, he was ready to turn on them in their sleep.

Jozu whirled each of the spears in his hands and pointed them at Litty.

“Shark Rider, Jozu ain’t no joke. If I ride this thing, I can’t lose to anyone. I’m going to show all of you how different I am from you.”

Jozu lunged towards Litty on the ground. From this, Litty assumed that Jozu had no means of long-range attack. Calmly, little by little, Litty could see that there was no such thing as “mutual rivalry” in his vision.
