A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 95.1
Litty, having a Duel with the Top of the School
Litty observed Jester as she confronted him. His mannerisms, his weapons, his gaze. Litty tried to get a grasp of his strength and fighting style, but was unable to make any progress.
Even before a battle, he was extremely calm, yet his eyes were belligerent. His only weapon was a sword in a scabbard at his waist, but there was no more information than that.
“Are you sizing me up? That’s scary.”
“Jester-san, tell me one thing. Why are you studying in the adventurer’s department when you are that man’s son?”
“I’ll tell you when I feel like it.”
“Are you afraid of your father?”
“I didn’t expect you to be someone good at instigating others…”
Litty simply felt that it was out of character for him to do so, so she asked him about it out of curiosity.
In her opinion, he was far stronger than Jozu, even though he was only equivalent to a second-rate fighter according to Redner’s rating.
“I am simply going to make sure that you lose this battle, but I’m not going to kill you.”
“I’ll win.”
“You seem confident.”
Even the crowd went silent. The King and the Princes were also looking at them intently, but only Redner smiled wryly.
As they looked at each other, it was Litty who made the first move. She did not want to give him the initiative. At least, that was what Litty thought was best.
But then, an attack that boasted a speed even faster than Litty’s was unleashed.
Rather than being released like a normal spell, it looked like he released a ray of light from his hand instead.
“Kuh…!”
It burned Litty’s left shoulder. Even with Litty’s sheer physical ability, after doing her best to dodge the attack she still received a good amount of damage.
“That was High Rank Light Attribute magic, Laser. I couldn’t believe you could dodge it to that extent.”
“Litty?!”
Roma exclaimed. It was hard to believe that Litty couldn’t evade the attack and was wounded instantly in the opening stage of the battle.
In her opinion, Litty, who had even come close to the Skarb Queen in physical capabilities, had nothing to worry about in this small battle. However, reality proved otherwise.
“Taaah!
“Mu…!”
Jester had hoped that the pain would scare her off, making her easier to subdue. But instead, she rushed back in again.
Litty instinctively detected the lag for the second shot. She took aim from mid-range with a Spiral Thrust from her one-handed spear.
“Tsk!”
Jester also instinctively felt the threat of her physical strength, so he quickly made his next move without delay.
The Spiral Thrust did not hit Jester as he moved to the left with a super evasive maneuver that even Litty could not match. Again, at a speed Litty could not see.
“Fast…!”
“This is Light Speed, Light Attribute magic. With this, I can compete with your physical strength…”
The Light Attribute did not have the most killing power among all attributes, but it had its own strengths. Jester further sublimated it with his original magic formula.
The High Rank Light Attribute Magic, Laser, was only made more powerful by compounding it with Fire Attribute.
The Light Attribute could be made more effective using Strengthening magic, Healing magic, and Wind magic.
Strengthening magic enhanced the physical body, while Healing magic reduced the load on the body. Wind magic adjusted the air resistance in the movement path, allowing the user to move at the level far above what an average person would be able to do.
However, it could only be used in a straight line, could not be used continuously, and had an extremely short duration.
Even though the duration was short, by using it in small increments, Jester could go toe-to-toe with a physical specialist like Litty.
“Litty’s attack has been repelled!”
“Lightning can also be used in this way.”
As a follow-up, Litty’s arm was hit to make her let go of her weapon, and she was almost knocked back.
Jester then again stuck out one hand, planning to finish the job with a Laser.
However, his arm was repelled by a kick from Litty that she sent even when she was in a bad posture. Unlike Litty, who did not mind the pain, Jester showed a gap due to the intense pain in his arm.
If Litty’s kick was received properly, the damage to his bones would have been inevitable.
