A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 97.3
Myan was also showing her denial to Cashack with a biting gesture. The adventurer’s license was Litty’s dream come true.
As for Roma, she knew that Cashack was just putting pressure on the headmaster as the Adventure Guild would not revoke an adventurer’s license for something they were not responsible for.
Even after taking a few steps back, in the first place, the public training matches were held on request of Top 5 including Hissreite-san with the permission of teaching staff. Moreover, Litty and others were even kind of coerced into participating in them after accepting it as a task requested from the Mock Guild which they created.
Seeing this exchange, Ailene no longer hid her grin and joined in the fray.
“Actually, we have received a number of similar complaints from numerous parents…. There have even been threats that they will withdraw their children from the academy if we don’t do anything. What are you going to do about it, Headmaster?” (Ailene)
“Hmmm…” (Headmaster)
Ailene again continued, “I think it would be best to expel these three people from the academy and request Adventure Guild to revoke their license. If this is not done, it will affect the academy’s brand.”
“That is way too harsh for something we did not do.” (Litty)
Although it would very unlikely result in revocation of their adventurer license, it would still definitely leave a stigma on their career. They didn’t want to see that happen.
“Isn’t it hard being an adventurer? Well, are you not afraid that you may end up fighting against something like angels again someday. Kukuku…” (Redner)
Redner was trying to corner Litty by using others, mainly Cashack and Ailene.
It was Redner who fought the angel, and it was thanks to him that they managed to control the situation. However, he was also using that as leverage against Litty and the others.
Redner continued with a teasing smile, “Hey, Litty, you seem to be a very determined adventurer, but have you really done a decent job this time? If Miss Hissreite had been given proper guidance, this situation would have not happened, right?”
“I won’t give up.”
“Hmm?”
“If you say I didn’t do a good job this time, I’ll try again and again. What do you think, Headmaster-san? We can still improve the academy’s reputation.”
Litty at least understood that Redner was coercing the headmaster to file a complaint against them… Redner was a pro-country man who did not want the influence of adventurers. For that, he hated adventurers and was using many schemes to give them a bad image… This may be one of them.
So, Litty, without being provoked by Redner, approached the headmaster and tried to calm him down.
The somewhat timid Headmaster turned his head away. He was exhausted and wanted to get out of the situation and deal with the aftermath.
It was obvious that the academy’s brand had been damaged by this incident, as Ailene had said. However, it was also undeniable that public training was done with academy’s permission, so blaming it on Litty and team was not right.
However, because of Redner’s presence, the Headmaster could not immediately answer Litty’s wishes.
“I’m sorry, but I’d like to give this some thought…”
“Excuse me.”
As the headmaster spoke of his reservations, Jester appeared politely. He bowed lightly to his father Redner as well, then stood next to Litty and faced the Headmaster.
“Headmaster. The three adventurers here have truly set an excellent example. I don’t think it is right to request revoking their licenses.”
“You were listening?”
“Yes, I have heard about it… The other students also heard the conversation between Ailene and the teachers. They were worried as well. It’s not just our class…. Please come this way.”
When Jester invited everyone out to the principal’s office, there were many students there. The corridor was large, but it was almost completely filled with students.
Merida and the rest of the elite class alone were not the only ones present. There were also many students from other grades.
“Academy Principal! Litty-chan and the others are not to blame! The Adventurers’ Guild event was fun, and we learned a lot!”
“That’s right! Thank you for stopping the golem from running amok during our presentation!”
“Thank you for helping us buy the ingredients when we didn’t have time!”
