[Vol. 2] Chapter 36: So Embarrassing!
“Ifia, are you okay?”
As Ifia’s heart raced, anticipating the replication of her experiences from the plot fragment into reality, Amelia was unaware of the multitude of thoughts swirling in her little head. Seeing Ifia remain silent for a while, she thought Ifia might have been frightened by the near fall just now.
Without continuing to embrace Ifia, Amelia raised her hand and pressed it on Ifia’s shoulders. After pushing her away a little, she carefully observed Ifia’s expression.
As Ifia met her gaze, Amelia’s purple eyes were filled with concern—a gentle Amelia that Ifia was familiar with! Oh, she truly loved this kind of Amelia the most! The rough one deserved to be bitten!
“Amelia, I’m fine, just zoned out for a moment.”
Ifia felt that her earlier inappropriate thoughts about Amelia were blasphemous. She quickly brushed them aside and focused on talking to Amelia. However, her stomach couldn’t hold back a growl, and for a moment, both Ifia and Amelia were stunned.
Once they realized what happened, Ifia blushed and quickly covered her stomach with her hand, as if she wanted to find a hole to hide in. Despite being hungry, her stomach growling wasn’t expected!
So embarrassing!
(,,>_<,,)
Fortunately, Amelia tactfully brushed it aside, but she smoothly picked up a cupcake and handed it to the hungry Ifia. She also found another topic to divert the awkwardness, saying, “How about taking a stroll in the garden?”
“Sure!”
Staying in the living room would only make Ifia continuously replay the embarrassing stomach growl in her mind. So, when she heard Amelia’s suggestion for a walk, Ifia quickly nodded in agreement. As Amelia held her hand and walked in the garden, Ifia breathed in the fresh air. The previously foggy mind, filled with inappropriate thoughts, also gradually cleared.
However, in this clear state, new questions arose. Sneakily glancing at the beside Amelia, who looked stunningly today, like a walking hormone factory, Ifia couldn’t think of anyone escaping Amelia’s charm. This Amelia, despite being the same person as the one in the original work, presented a stark contrast.
Could it be that she was only like this in front of her?
“Amelia, if the two of us didn’t know each other, would you be indifferent to me? Like, looking at me coldly, threatening me, or even laying hands on me!”
Unable to hold back, Ifia posed a question.
However, when these words reached Amelia’s ears, she was momentarily taken aback. When she regained her composure, she shook her head with a wry smile. She couldn’t fathom what was going on in Ifia’s little head and why she would ask such a question. There was no “if” in their acquaintance, it was an established fact.
Even if they didn’t know each other, Amelia wouldn’t harm Ifia. After all, a single glance back in the slums had piqued her interest in Ifia. In any other context, she wouldn’t harbor any ill intentions towards the adorable and soft Ifia. At most, she would playfully tease her.
Thinking of these things, a subtle smile formed on Amelia’s lips as she earnestly replied, “Of course not, Ifia. You’re so cute, it’s impossible not to adore you~”
“Oh, I’m not that cute!”
Facing Amelia’s serious gaze, Ifia felt a mixture of happiness and inner conflict. She was pleased to receive Amelia’s praise but conflicted because the original Amelia in the storyline was cold and rude, never saying anything nice. She would just dominate Ifia on the deck as she pleased.
If she hadn’t returned to reality in time, Ifia believed the situation could have become very serious. Now, there were already lingering effects, and looking at Amelia’s face and inhaling her sweet fragrance, Ifia couldn’t help but uncontrollably indulge in inappropriate thoughts.
This is a dangerous signal!
“Ifia, why would you ask such a question? Have you encountered something difficult to resolve?”
As Ifia’s emotions became complicated, she hesitated for a moment upon hearing Amelia’s question. In the end, she decided to embellish her experience.
“I just had a nightmare. In a situation where we didn’t know each other, I offended you, and you… controlled my actions, threatened me with words, and scared me with a cold and ruthless demeanor until I woke up.”
She almost let something slip.
With a slightly nervous expression, Ifia sneakily glanced at Amelia. When she saw that Amelia’s expression remained normal, she quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
In reality, Amelia had noticed the verbal loopholes and the undisclosed details in Ifia’s description, and she could infer quite a bit. Rather than brutally harming Ifia, Amelia believed she would choose a different approach.
After piquing the demon’s interest, desires would also magnify. In a situation where they didn’t know each other, Amelia thought she might harbor intense desires. The version of her in Ifia’s dream seemed to match her true nature.
Although the reality was as such, Amelia wasn’t foolish enough to reveal too much. So, she patiently reassured Ifia’s emotions. She walked directly in front of Ifia, then leaned down, bringing her face close to Ifia’s. When the distance between them was so close that their breaths were audible, Amelia chuckled softly.
“Dreams are false, but I am real.” With these words, Amelia kissed Ifia’s cheek without any hesitation.
Subsequently, as she looked into Ifia’s wet, dark eyes, Amelia couldn’t help but affectionately kiss her soft lips. It seemed like a simple kiss, and Amelia appeared completely normal, without the awkwardness one might feel when kissing a friend.
Ifia gazed at Amelia in a daze, wondering if her reactions were too exaggerated. Wasn’t this just a friendly kiss? Compared to the camaraderie between guys, the intimacy between girls could indeed be different. However, thanks to Amelia’s comforting kisses, Ifia no longer dwelled on her troubles. Her eyes sparkled as she reached out, tightly holding Amelia’s hand, deciding to put the encounters in the story fragments out of her mind. After all, the system would soon fix the anomalies.

Even though her internship ended prematurely, Ifia was still on leave and about to travel abroad.
Therefore, she didn’t bother going back to the academy for just a couple of days of classes. She stayed at Amelia’s house for a few days, during which Amelia personally prepared her luggage. As evening approached, they were set to board the ship and embark on their journey.
After crossing over, Ifia had yet to travel far. Going to the port to board the ship now filled her with excitement. She stood with hands behind her back, happily spinning in circles around Amelia, her steps light as if she might fly away at any moment.
Behind them, the servants silently followed, carrying luggage. Amelia didn’t mind Ifia’s exuberance, she looked at her with amused purple eyes. Occasionally, when Ifia didn’t notice obstacles on the ground, Amelia subtly extended a helping hand to prevent any potential falls.
Upon arriving at the port, the merchant ships were neatly arranged. The azure sea stretched out, white seagulls circled overhead, and a considerable number of onlookers with curious eyes lingered, reluctant to leave the spectacle. The leading luxurious ship had already lowered its gangway, awaiting the arrival of esteemed guests.
As Ifia and Amelia approached the gangway, about to board, a surprised voice suddenly came from behind, “Ifia?”
Ifia’s heart skipped a beat as she turned around to face the unexpected voice. The mysterious figure stepped into the dim glow of the harbor lights. A single sentence echoed through the stillness.
“I’m so happy to meet you here, Ifia!”
