[Vol. 4] Chapter 41: Thick Eyebrows and Big Eyes

“Amazing.”

Amelia seemed as if she hadn’t seen the illusion of the halo above Ifia’s head and the wings behind her. Like a brave knight, her upright posture resembled a majestic pine on a mountaintop, effortlessly holding the princess in her arms.

Watching Ifia raise the holy lotus into the air, although disliking the flower’s sacred aura, Amelia naturally smiled. Her beautiful purple eyes sparkled like radiant gemstones.

When she lowered her gaze to Ifia, it was as if her eyes were filled only with Ifia’s figure, unable to see anything else.

Such concentration left Ifia, presenting the treasure, momentarily stunned, and her cheeks quickly turned red. She slowly brought the lotus she held back to her chest.

Ifia avoided making eye contact with Amelia and insisted, “Amelia, I asked you to look at the flower, not me!”

The plucked holy lotus continued to emit a soft glow, spreading a pleasant fragrance in Amelia’s embrace. Although it smelled nice, Ifia felt that she preferred the sweet scent emanating from Amelia’s body.

Sweet and delicious.

It made her want to snuggle and stay close to Amelia every day.

“Cute Ifia, you are much more beautiful than the flowers.”

Just as Ifia was reminiscing about the enticing sweet fragrance, Amelia, with a serious expression, uttered affectionate words that made Ifia’s face suddenly blush intensely. Her shy heart pounded rapidly.

Even the speed of the flapping wings behind seemed to have increased significantly.

Amelia’s purple eyes flickered for a moment, suppressing the relentlessly surging, wild thoughts within her.

She wanted to undress Ifia, forcefully leaving red marks on her fair skin, making Ifia unable to hold back her sounds of pleasure.

The wings at the back connected to the body, allowing for a special technique to bring Ifia ultimate pleasure through kneading. When it became unbearable, a pair of damp black eyes looked over, filled with a plea.

Just the thought of it excited Amelia immensely, quickening her breath.

Demons have diverse preferences, regardless of race. However, it seems to be an inherent nature that demons have a particular fondness for angels.

Yet, these two races have always been in opposition, and as for the reasons…

During the great war between the gods of good and evil, demons captured many angels as caged birds, subjecting them to debauchery and play, and made them lose hope.

On the other hand, when the forces of good captured demons, it was much simpler. Since angels detest demons to the extreme, they usually choose a swift beheading, burning their souls.

Amelia, in the original world, served as an evil god. Her heart was as solid as a rock, unmoved by the beauty of angels.

She was single-mindedly focused on defeating the benevolent god and gaining complete control.

Unfortunately, she failed, and she was subsequently sealed. Finally, she reached an agreement with the deity and was sent to this world for ‘retirement.’

Suddenly recalling past events, Amelia’s gaze turned cold. However, as she looked at the blushing Ifia in her arms, that icy demeanor quickly disappeared.

Although she hadn’t been attracted to angels before, seeing Ifia in this state made her heart beat fiercely.

She liked it a lot.

As for these illusions… before arriving, the Saint Tiffany had mentioned that the holy lotus liked people with pure souls.

Therefore, there would be some ‘means’ to express affection. The illusions appearing on Ifia were the holy lotus expressing its desire for closeness. They wouldn’t harm Ifia.

Nevertheless, even so, Amelia wouldn’t allow them to frighten Ifia.

“Um.”

As Ifia felt the heat on her face could cook an egg and was considering slyly using the holy lotus to cover up, she suddenly heard the unicorn’s cry, immediately recalling being thrown by the unicorn just a moment ago.

Darn it, she was deceived!

The unicorn, that animal with thick eyebrows and big eyes, looked gentle and harmless, but it heartlessly tossed her away…

If it weren’t for Amelia catching her in time, she would have landed face-first! If her pretty little face got injured, she’d definitely pluck all the unicorn’s fur!

Turning angrily to look at the unicorn, Ifia planned to give it a good scolding, or at least scare it a bit!

However, as soon as she saw the unicorn, Ifia was startled.

The once gentle and obedient unicorn now looked like it had experienced something extremely terrifying. Its originally smooth white fur seemed forcibly torn off in large patches, revealing scattered spots of golden liquid.

There were clear cracks on its horn, as if a gentle touch could make it shatter into pieces. Its blue eyes carried obvious fear, and its neighing was filled with panic.

What in the world?

In just a blink of an eye, how did the unicorn end up like this?

Ifia stared in shock at the unicorn, unable to understand how it suddenly got injured.

“Amelia, should we give the unicorn some treatment?”

Although Ifia was angry that the unicorn had tossed her away, seeing its miserable state now made her feel a bit compassionate.

Moreover, perhaps it sensed danger and instinctively threw her away to avoid a similar fate.

Thinking about the possibility of having her own smooth black hair forcibly pulled out, Ifia couldn’t help but shudder at the thought of such torture.

When Amelia heard Ifia’s inquiry, she glanced at the terrified unicorn.

Amelia raised an eyebrow in disdain, retracted her magical power, and the dense demonic aura disappeared, causing the unicorn, feeling like it was facing a formidable enemy, to breathe a sigh of relief.

Despite the demon lord’s usual composed demeanor, for the first time she felt panic and attempted to save Ifia, as she couldn’t bear to witness Ifia’s fearful expression. She couldn’t hold back her actions from the excessive use of the Abyssal Domain.

Amelia couldn’t be bothered to waste more time on the unicorn and directly tried to reassure Ifia, “It’s fine, just a minor injury, it will recover soon.”

Upon hearing this, Ifia’s expression became complex, and she glanced again at the unicorn. It didn’t seem like just a minor injury…

However, Amelia followed up with an explanation, “Unicorns possess powerful self-healing abilities, no need to worry.”

Of course, demonic magical injuries are not ordinary, so the unicorn would need a long time to fully recover.

Amelia silently pondered, but her facial expression did not reveal anything. Ifia, however, instantly understood. No wonder Amelia wasn’t worried at all!

“I see! But even if the unicorn is friendly towards humans, it’s still a mystical beast. It’s better to keep a distance to avoid accidental injuries.”

“Mm-hmm.”

With the experience of being tossed away earlier, Ifia quickly nodded in agreement. Now that they had obtained the holy lotus, it was best to leave the mountain as soon as possible.

She really didn’t want to stay on the mountain any longer!

Afterwards, citing Ifia’s fright as a reason, Amelia didn’t put her down.

Instead, she maintained the princess carry posture, as light as holding a feather, and swiftly walked towards the outskirts of the valley.

Behind them, the holy lotus in the center of the lake seemed to lose its vitality, with its flower buds drooping listlessly.

As they left the valley, the illusions on Ifia gradually disappeared, returning to normal.

By the time she sat in the carriage, Ifia turned her head to look out of the window. The verdant scenery of the Mount Scalarase and the fresh air still brought a sense of tranquility and joy.

However, Ifia had no intention of staying here for long, the outside world was too dangerous. A golden or silver nest couldn’t compare to her own cozy dormitory. It was better to return to the dorm and lie flat!

Although she hadn’t been injured on this trip, the dizziness from plucking the holy lotus and being tossed by the unicorn had already made Ifia lose any desire to continue playing here.

However, the holy lotus that she had been holding seemed to be emitting heat?

Ifia wasn’t sure if it was her imagination because the holy lotus appeared normal and continued to glow. When she touched it, her fingertips didn’t sense any temperature change.

While Ifia was puzzled, Amelia looked at her neck. A small silver lotus imprint gradually appeared.

Success.

Next, it would only take a week of nurturing, and the holy lotus would mature completely.

However, thinking about Saint Tiffany’s warning, Amelia couldn’t help but furrow her brow.

The side effects of the holy lotus were also quite troublesome!
