I Know Everything - Chapter 41
Chapter 41: You go try a bit.
Lin Ting, the second candidate for Qiu Lingxin, performed worse than Cao Nihui.
Even Zhu Mei felt that she was totally incompatible with Qiu Lingxin’s role.
She also saw through Zhu Mei’s feelings but she was very polite as she thanked her for giving her a chance to audition. She was extremely polite.
The third one that came in was Chen Qian.
She lay on the fake snow without saying a word after hearing Zhu Mei’s request.
Chen Qian held her breath when she heard “Start!”.
Chen Huan looked at the screen and Chen Qian was very calm under the camera. She stayed motionless with her eyes closed and no emotion on her face.
It wasn’t until she estimated it was half a minute before she abruptly opened her eyes and started to breathe again.
But after taking two big breaths, Chen Qian slowly closed her eyes again and adjusted her breath evenly.
Then Chen Qian stood up and patted her clothes gently.
Chen Huan smiled at the sight.
This was the action of dusting the snow away from the body.
Cao Nihui and Lin Tang didn’t make this simple action before. Apparently they didn’t fully understand the snow scene yet.
Chen Qian not only did that but also imitated walking on the snow as she walked high and low until she got out of the snow area.
Chen Huan’s head turned toward Zhu Mei and whispered something to her.
Zhu Mei looked distracted for a moment and then immediately said to Chen Qian, “Xiao Qian, you are now in front of a mountain, you shout toward the mountain several times, ‘How are you? I’m fine!’”.
Chen Qian nodded and thought about it before putting her hands near her mouth and yelled, “How are you? I’m fine!”
“How are you? I’m fine!”
“How are you? I’m fine!”
She yelled a total of three and each time was slower than the previous one.
One the second time, her eyes reddened as tears flowed and even her voice started to tremble a little.
But the third time she smiled while tears flowed down.
No one would think she was happy with such a smile and would know that this was a deep nostalgic pain.
After yelling, Chen Qian lowered her head and didn’t let anybody see her face but her whole body was shaking slightly.
If one looked closely, her hands were shivering slightly.
Chen Huan was amazed, “How such a good actress didn’t come from one of three major schools?”
Zhu Mei didn’t answer the question and only nodded as she muttered, “Yeah, she’s so good!”
Zhu Mei had repeatedly read the script a dozen of times so far and could obviously see what Chen Qian’s performance represented.
At that moment, Chen Qian was completely fused with Qiu Lingxin.
After a while, Chen Qian recovered from her emotional state and looked at Zhu Mei.
“Thank you for your wonderful performance, Xiao Qian.” Zhu Mei stood up and said normally, “I’ll contact your agent when the results come out.”
“Okay, thank you directors and thank you everybody!” Chen Qian thanked with a soft smile before walking away.
When she left the room, Chen Huan said, “Aunty Mei, I thought you would announce on the spot that she got the role!”
“How can it be so easy?” Zhu Mei smiled bitterly, “She is the least valued of the three candidates. The investors… Let’s continue the audition first!”
Shi Liyou also smiled bitterly before asking a student from Huhai Opera to come in.
The student’s eyes suddenly widened when they saw Chen Huan sitting next to Zhu Mei.
He thought he was a competitor but he suddenly became a judge!?
He didn’t have much time to think about it as after introducing himself, Shi Liyou took him to change into a Mao Suit before throwing a book to him.
“Little guy, take this book, seriously look at it and don’t pay attention to the rest.” Shi Liyou gave him a simple command after taking him to the window corner with the bookcase and walked back.
The student didn’t understand the reasons but didn’t dare to ask more questions as he just stood there and read the book seriously.
The breeze on the 8th floor blew the curtain open and the bright sunlight immediately shined in and illuminated his face.
The students that were selected were definitely handsome but Chen Huan watched intensely the light along with the shadow that constantly changed on his face but Chen Huan softly shook his head.
“Not good enough.”
It wasn’t only him as Chen Huan gave the same conclusion for the other two students.
Zhu Mei let out a sigh and actually thought they were pretty good but she could only put away her thoughts for now.
The last role audition was for the Female Shu.
Chen Huan arranged the audition for the two actresses. The male Shu would be at the library reading his book. Then the female Shu would come and ask if he agreed with the story as she mostly wanted to interact with him.
Zhou Luxiang and Shi Liyou cooperated well for the act but there was a problem with Bu Yiyi.
It wasn’t a big problem as Bu Yiyi said to Zhu Mei when she saw Shi Liyou came over, “Director Zhu, since the role is a high school student, isn’t it better for that little brother to come and help me rehearse?”
Bu Yiyi’s smooth hand pointed at Chen Huan.
Chen Huan looked at her in surprise while Bu Yiyi pointed at him with a grin.
Zhu Mei seemed to be struck by a flash of inspiration at this moment as she stood unmoving.
Bu Yiyi was anxious after seeing the situation as she thought her request made Zhu Mei unhappy.
She really liked the movies made by Zhu Mei, otherwise she wouldn’t have forced her way to put her resume despite the opposition of her agency.
If her working with Zhu Mei was broken because of this small matter, she would really want to cry.
“Director Zhu…” Bu Yiyi called in hesitation.
“Oh… Oh!” Zhu Mei was awakened from her thoughts and almost jumped up before she stared at Chen Huan with shining eyes and said, “How about it, Xiao Huan, can you do it?”
Chen Huan saw her expression and couldn’t help but have a bad feeling.
But since he was so familiar with the movie, Bu Yiyi seemed to be the right candidate and he wanted to get out as much as possible of her act, so he said, “No problem.”
“Alright, you guys go over there!” Zhu Mei waved her hands.
Chen Huan didn’t need to adjust his emotion for the plot as he directly sat cross legged next to the bookcase. He took a book in hand and slowly read it.
In the original movie, the Japanese students took off their shoes and only wore socks in some areas of the school so sitting and reading a book on the ground wouldn’t seem weird.
But China didn’t have this habit so it was a bit rigid.
Chen Huan didn’t notice that Zhu Mei’s eyes widened when she saw that.
A pleasantly surprised expression appeared on her face.
