[Vol. 1] Chapter 50: The Girl’s Request

The silver-haired girl struggled to straighten her body and slowly walked towards Yuluo.

“I’m deeply sorry for bringing you here without your permission,” the silver-haired girl spoke, then bowed to Yuluo, expressing her apology.

“Do you have something to discuss with me?” Yuluo inquired.

Who exactly was the girl in front of her, and what did she want by bringing Yuluo here?

The girl waved her right hand, and a finely crafted table and two chairs appeared out of thin air.

“Let’s have a seat and talk, shall we?” the silver-haired girl gestured for her to sit down.

Yuluo complied and took a seat at the table provided by the girl.

Once Yuluo was seated, the girl also sat down.

“Would you like some tea first?”

The girl snapped her fingers, and a steaming cup of tea appeared in front of Yuluo.

“Thank you, but it’s not necessary.”

Yuluo still didn’t know who the other person was. Although the girl gave her a familiar and reassuring feeling, she couldn’t be sure if there were any ulterior motives or if the girl possessed some sort of ability. It was better to remain cautious.

“Alright, let’s not waste too much time then. Let’s get straight to the point.”

Seeing that Yuluo didn’t want tea, the girl decided not to waste any more time and went straight to the point.

The silver-haired girl extended her right hand, and a faint light appeared. Yuluo sensed a familiar aura—it was divine power!

“Are you a God?” Yuluo asked, puzzled.

Although the girl possessed divine power, for some reason, she felt more like a human than a god, perhaps because she lacked the air of divinity.

Upon hearing Yuluo’s question, the silver-haired girl seemed to ponder for a moment before letting out a bitter laugh.

“Yes, but also no.”

Yuluo felt a bit confused.

What did it mean by “yes, but also no”? Could she be a demigod?

“You don’t need to dwell on this question. It holds no significance for you,” the silver-haired girl knew what Yuluo was thinking but didn’t want to explain further.

“Understood.”

Yuluo decided not to dwell on the question anymore. The girl was right, it was pointless to ponder over it now.

“Anyway, the reason I invited you here this time is to help you understand divine power to some extent,” the silver-haired girl leaned back in her chair and addressed Yuluo.

Yuluo was surprised to hear this. The girl in front of her wanted her to understand divine power, which puzzled Yuluo for a moment.

Yuluo once had the thought of trying to understand the divine power. To that end, she even communicated with the God of Death, hoping that He could help her.

However, her request had been mercilessly denied, and she couldn’t obtain any information no matter what method she tried.

Yet Yuluo understood that gods were called gods because of their divine power, which created a vast gap between them and mortals. No matter how hard mortals tried, they could only look up to the gods.

However, Yuluo remembered the God of Death’s words, that he wouldn’t impart any knowledge about divine power but assured her that she would understand one day.

At that time, Yuluo thought he was just trying to dismiss her, but now she wondered if there was a thread of fate guiding her towards understanding and encountering these gods.

“So, what’s the price?” Yuluo stood up, placing her hands on the table, asking the girl about the cost she would have to pay.

To obtain powerful strength without any cost? There’s hardly anything in this world that good. Since the other party is offering such tempting stakes, they must want something from me in return, and the price is surely not small. She’ll need to weigh her options carefully when the time comes.

“A price? Let me think about it,” the silver-haired girl propped her chin up, seemingly pondering.

The silver-haired girl had never thought of demanding anything from Yuluo, but doing so seemed suspicious indeed.

Just like there’s no such thing as a free lunch, Yuluo might become suspicious if no conditions were mentioned. So, she had to make some demands.

“I’ve got it. You have to agree to two requests from me,” the silver-haired girl suddenly came up with an idea.

As expected, there are requests. Yuluo felt some concern, as if the other party made extravagant demands, she might not have the power to refuse. After all, this was the other’s territory, and she seemed to have full control over everything here.

If she chose to refuse her requests, she probably wouldn’t be able to leave this blank space for the rest of her life.

“For the first request, I want you to defeat that god outside,” the silver-haired girl presented her first request.

Upon hearing this request, Yuluo breathed a sigh of relief. It was within her acceptable range, and it was even better to have a common goal with her.

Originally, Yuluo had planned to defeat the God of Fear, and the girl’s request aligned with her goal. For her, there was almost no demand at all.

However, the fact that the girl wanted her to deal with the god hinted at a significant conflict between them. Could it be that the girl’s injuries were related to that god?

“Now, for the second request.”

Yuluo perked up her ears. This second request would surely be more demanding than the first, and she wondered what it would be.

“After you leave here, I want you to kiss the person you love the most,” the girl presented her second request.

Yuluo had expected something extremely demanding, but it turned out to be so simple, something she enjoyed doing. But why? Could it be that she liked shipping characters?

“So, will you accept my requests?” the silver-haired girl asked.

Although Yuluo didn’t understand why the second request was so simple, she accepted the silver-haired girl’s request for now.

After all, it was on the girl’s territory, and she felt that refusing might lead to something unfavorable.

Moreover, being able to kiss her beloved Sister Yueyue, why wouldn’t she?

Yuluo was quite satisfied with the requests made by the silver-haired girl.

“Come closer,” the girl removed the table to make it easier for Yuluo to approach.

Yuluo walked up to the girl, but even at such a close distance, she couldn’t see the girl’s face clearly, adding to the mystery.

The silver-haired girl extended her right hand and placed her index finger on Yuluo’s forehead, causing a warm sensation to wash over her.

“Now, close your eyes and concentrate,” the silver-haired girl reminded Yuluo.

As she spoke, a faint light emanated from the girl’s index finger. Yuluo obeyed and closed her eyes, focusing on the sensation.

Yuluo felt something entering her mind. She carefully explored the feeling. Was this divine power? Yuluo gradually gained a preliminary understanding of divine power.

After a while, the light disappeared, and the silver-haired girl withdrew her hand.

“That’s it. The rest, you’ll have to comprehend on your own,” there was a hint of weariness in the girl’s tone.

“I understand. Thank you for your help,” Yuluo expressed her gratitude, acknowledging the considerable assistance she had received.

“Can I leave now? There are important people waiting for me outside.”

Now that she had acquired new powers, Yuluo was eager to meet her Sister Yueyue.

“Of course. Goodbye, and good luck.”

The silver-haired girl snapped her fingers, and a spatial rift appeared behind Yuluo.

Yuluo approached the rift, realizing that passing through it would bring her back to reality.

Before leaving, Yuluo glanced at the girl one last time. Was it her imagination? Despite the girl’s blurry appearance, Yuluo still sensed her sadness.

This made Yuluo hesitate for a moment, but she still chose to step into the rift. Yuluo had no time to waste now, she had to hurry back to help them.

Watching Yuluo leave, the girl sighed. Now, her lower body was also becoming transparent, feeling like she could disappear from this world at any moment.

The girl waved her right hand, and the table that had disappeared reappeared. She sat back down.

“Broken Soul, since you’re here, don’t hide anymore,” she said.

As she spoke, a skull necklace appeared on the water’s surface, emitting a deathly aura. It then flew into the air, transforming into a male figure.

The figure was vague, and his appearance couldn’t be discerned. Broken Soul instantly appeared in front of the silver-haired girl, but he didn’t choose to sit down.

“Do you know what you’re doing?”

Broken Soul seemed displeased with what the silver-haired girl had done.

“Of course, I do, but I have to do it.” The silver-haired girl brewed a cup of hot tea and sipped it slowly.

“She’ll understand sooner or later. I’m just helping her understand it in advance.”

The silver-haired girl placed the tea back on the table, feeling a bit bland. It would be better if it were a bit sweeter.

Broken Soul fell silent. What the girl said made some sense, and it wasn’t his purpose for this trip anyway.

“Are you here to claim my soul then?”

The silver-haired girl closed her eyes, leaning back in her chair, like an elderly person facing their last moments.

“Even if I had ten thousand guts, I wouldn’t dare claim your soul, and besides, you’re just a clone.”

After saying that, Broken Soul chose to leave, leaving the silver-haired girl alone, leaning quietly in her chair.

“It seems like you’ve come to see me for the last time, haven’t you?”

The silver-haired girl addressed the already departed Broken Soul.

“I didn’t expect someone to come see me before I disappeared. How nice.”

…………

Back to the present, Yuluo released Yinyue and dismantled the meeting room.

“Can we finally go brawl?” Yinya swung her hammer again, impatiently.

“Yes, we’re ready to go now.”

They had made their plans, and now it was time to give that arrogant god a little shake-up from mortals. Let them understand not to underestimate mortals.

…………

After completely destroying Yinyue’s clone, the God of Fear clenched His fists, His already twisted face contorting even more. He was truly furious.

To be delayed by an ant for so long—if other gods found out, His reputation would be ruined.

For a god with high pride, Yinyue’s actions were a complete humiliation.

Since she refused to come out obediently, He would destroy this place first. Then, He would see if she would continue hiding like a coward or if she would come out and meet her end like a fool.

Regardless, He had to make Yinyue understand the consequences of mocking a god.

He waved His staff, gathering powerful energy on it. Under the distortion of divine power, the ruins began to collapse.

The sky was shrouded in dark clouds, fierce winds howled, the earth cracked, and the creatures of magic emitted painful cries. The ruins now resembled the end of the world.

With the staff in hand, He laughed, mocking everything here. In the face of His divine power, everything was so fragile.

It wouldn’t be long before the ruins completely collapsed. By then, even if Yinyue and her companions had the strongest spells, there would be nowhere for them to escape.

As a deity, even if this space were to be destroyed, He could still survive. However, it would take some time to adjust afterward.

If it were His prime, He wouldn’t have so many concerns. It wasn’t for Zach’s stupidity, just the thought of him made Him angry.

At this moment, Zach was still lying on the cold ground, unaffected by the stones hitting his face. It seemed like the deity’s enthusiasm for him had gone too far. If Zach were awake, he should feel honored to be remembered by a deity.

“Hey! ugly God, I, Yinyue, have returned. Come and meet your demise.”

At that moment, a figure appeared in the palace. It was Yinyue herself, wielding the Dawn’s Sword, pointing it at Him.

“Who are you calling an ugly God? You have a lot of nerve!”

Yinyue’s words further enraged Dark Pupil, who was already fuming.

Dark Pupil couldn’t believe that Yinyue would provoke Him as soon as she returned. How could He tolerate such insolence from a mere mortal?

Seeing Dark Pupil’s reaction, Yinyue felt delighted inside.

Very well, the first step of the plan has been successfully completed.
