Live At The Murder Scene - Chapter 12
Qiongcang: There’s more. I’ll let you know after I’m done reading my homework.
He Jueyun: Homework?
Qiongcang: Study every day to get closer to Meng Jianping.
[TL note: Meng Jianping book series is a series of homework type books.]
He Jueyun: …
When Qiongcang talked about reading homework, she meant it.
Most people have the habit of doodling, especially when things are boring. Since Wang Dongyan already has a strong desire to commit suicide and no one to talk to, she would likely have left some clues behind by accident. Homework and draft papers are places that would best reflect a student’s psychological state.
Especially on draft papers.
People do all sorts of things when they are bored.
Third-year high school students had plenty of exercise books; the various subjects, editions, and brands. Qiongcang looked through the sea of exercise books on the table and picked out the science-related books to examine page by page.
Qiongcang was quick at leafing through the book. She would flip through the pages every other second. Looking at them briefly yet spending enough time on each page to examine them carefully.
Without any progress in the plot, the in-game time would speed up accordingly. At around dusk, Qiongcang finally finished looking through the handful of exercise books she had.
She displayed little expression and the netizens were unsure what she had discovered after spending half her day on this. Yet, she did not stop and continued flipping through other books.
She found a writing exercise book that had already been marked. There were ten compositions required during the winter holidays.
This was a completely quiet video since Qiongcang fully devoted herself to scanning the books. Making only small movements, it seemed as though the video was on a loop. The only exception was when she went out for food halfway in.
The director even magnified the homework onto the screen so that the audience could also experience the joys of studying.
The viewers had never experienced such a boring live-stream before, an amazing sight. What’s even more miraculous was the fact that some extremely free viewers had stayed on to watch her.
The dairies that were written to pass as composition exercises were somewhat interesting and useful. However, when Qiongcang turned her attention to the draft papers, the netizens who were already bored out of their minds couldn’t hold back anymore.
“I felt great relief when she put down the book. I thought I had won. But now she’s going through the draft papers which she had put aside previously. Is she trying to meditate?”
“Amazing cruel person! I give up, okay?”
“I came here intending to relax, why would you do this to me? Where’s the comedic element? Lady, are you not going to interact with the NPCs?”
“Is it necessary to be so detailed about searching for evidence? Even going through draft papers?”
“There’s a possibility that verbal testimonies may be false, physical evidence is a lot more credible.”
“She’s going through the books so quickly. If not for her high score, I would have thought she’s just pretending.”
“Why do I think this is useless? She’s too slow at collecting clues. She probably moved on to paper drafts because there wasn’t any information in the exercise books, right? Perhaps, there’s nothing in the paper drafts too!”
Even though the netizens were in despair, Qiongcang continued to go through the paper drafts with great speed.
Her patience was really something terrifying.
The contents on draft papers of a high school student were pretty random, not following any pattern. Qiongcang also flipped through the papers faster.
After about halfway through, she saw a pencil-drawn character from a stack of bound white draft papers.
Even though the character art was rough, the character looked lively as it stuffed its face with food. It seemed that Wang Dongyan had drawn this when she was bored and even had a liking for her work.
