Hi, everybody. I have recently started a new novel called I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History. You can check it out HERE.

Angeline turned to him.

“I’m going to go and spar with Marie… What about Daddy?”

“I’m going to do some more research. Come back home when you’re done.”

“What, you’re not going to come check on her? I’m going to win today.”

“Yeah, I’m looking forward to hearing your stories. Good luck, Marie.”

Angeline puffed out her cheeks.

“Tell me to do my best, too…!”

“Yeah, good luck to you too, Angie. Just don’t get hurt.”

“Yeah!”

The receptionist looked at them smiling.

Seeing them off, Belgrief went over to the reception desk reserved for high ranks.

Edgar was sitting behind the counter, flipping through some papers, and when Belgrief approached him, he looked up and smiled. With one hand, he put back the bandana that had almost fallen off.

“Hey, Bel-san, you’re doing research again today?”

“Yeah. Sorry to bother you every time, Ed.”

“Don’t be silly, it’s just that it helps me to keep my things in order.”

Edgar raised the hip door of the counter and invited Belgrief to enterj.

“We’ve been doing some research when we’re free, but we haven’t found any good information…”

“Don’t worry, this is my problem. Please don’t worry too much about it.”

“Really? Well, it’s not a lie that I want to help you. If you need anything, just let me know, okay?”

“Thanks, that’d be helpful.”

Belgrief bowed his head.

The guild’s staff felt indebted to Angeline and treated her father, Belgrief, well, but there was also a sense that Belgrief was a bit of a tough guy to get to know deeper because of the “red devil” story Angeline had once boasted to them.

However, Edgar and the others didn’t seem to have such a strange attitude at all. As an active AAA-ranked adventurer, he was also interested in Belgrief’s abilities and had a few encounters with him. In the past, Belgrief was mainly in the middle guard of Lionel’s party, and his mock battles with Edgar, who was skilled in offensive and defensive tactics, were very stimulating for Belgrief.

Belgrief was grateful that he had been able to get to know Graham so well, and that he had been able to treat him as a friend close in age. Belgrief was grateful for that, and felt that he could understand Graham’s feelings.

“Oh, by the way, where’s Yuri-san today?”

“Oh, she’s not working today. She needs to rest once in a while.”

“Well… You’re always here, so I was wondering when you were taking a break.”

“Hahaha, you’re right. Bel-san does it every day, doesn’t he?”

“Well, mine’s not really a job… Well then.”

As Belgrief started to walk away, Edgar spoke up as if he remembered.

“So, Bel-san, can you make some time in the evening soon?”

“Night?”

“Yeah. Well, Rio’s looking a little tired, so I thought I’d throw him a drink to show my appreciation. But it’s boring to drink alone with him, so if you’d like to join us, Bel-san, and Qasim-san.”

“Hmm… But are you certain? I mean, is it okay for you to invite me?”

“Well, you’re supposed to invite your friends, right? Don’t be shy.”

“Oh, I see. Can I invite Angie and her friends too?”

“Oh, certainly. There’s a place that serves good Eastern food.”

At that moment, an adventurer who seemed to have completed his request stood behind the counter. Edgar stood up and greeted him, then looked sideways at Belgrief and gave him a quick bow.

Belgrief shrugged his shoulders and entered the back of the room.

This is a high rank request, so the number of materials is not as many as those of lower ranks, but it is still too much for one person to examine. There are many unorganized documents from the past, and Belgrief has been helping the guild by arranging them neatly while examining them.
