Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 151.3
Two days later, Elena and I were once again on our way to Chaco’s cabin outside of town.
We should leave them to Camille or Ron and not get too involved. But Elena had befriended the dog-beastman and dwarf toddler in the hut, and seemed concerned about the toddler’s nutritional condition.
The succulents in this region were nourishing and should not cause death if they ate them, but certainly meat would be hard to come by.
I felt a little uncomfortable as I headed for the rocks with a thin slice of livestock meat that resembled a sheep, not the insectivore that the poor eat, although it cost a little more.
“Aria!”
“Wait!”
I stopped Elena, who was about to jump out of the way, with one hand and stepped forward. Noi, who was supposed to have recovered, was lying in front of the hut. As far as I could see, he still had some magic left in him, so he could still be saved if I treated him.
Still, I stopped because three beastmen appeared from inside the hut.
The Beastman…Munza Group, huh?
“I’ve been waiting for you. You’re the alchemist girl who treated this kid, right?
“Where’s Chaco?”
Two young children were being held in the arms of the two beastmen, as if they were hostages. Elena gasped in the background as she watched the frightened children, who were probably too frightened to speak.
And why did these people think we were alchemists? How did they know that Noi’s illness had been treated?
“They took that woman with us. If the Potion can cure the disease, we can have many kids like that woman who can be sold to Rizan’s group.”
The beastman with fur like a black tiger laughed as he said this, and the beastman who had caught the crying children also laughed.
I looked at them – and at the children. With a slight flame in my heart.
Are you guys… okay with that?
“I’m going to take you now. I’ll show you around, but you have to be quiet…”
“Are you just going to cry?”
I said clearly, and the beastmen frowned suspiciously at my words.
“What are you talking about?
“Are you just going to let them take it from you?”
The dwarf boy looks up.
“Are you truly not frustrated?”
The beastman toddler grits his teeth.
Anger flashed across the men’s faces as I said this, as if to cover the men’s words.
“Enough, shut up woman!!!”
“To live — resist!”
[Gee!]
Did you guys not notice? You didn’t notice that the children stopped crying? That they decided to fight of their own volition to protect their families.
You people underestimate children. Even a toddler could kill a man if they had fangs.
The children bite the men’s arms, and I point my fingertips at them at that moment.
“–[Shadow Pain]–“
[—-!]
The beastmen stiffen. I moved smoothly and thrust my black dagger between the eyebrows of the man holding the children and a black knife into the head of the other, then gently lowered the two children to the ground.
“Nah–“
I glided up to the black tiger man, who was still rigid from the momentary slaughter, shattered the wrist of his right arm with my hand knife as he tried to ready his weapon, and kicked the right knee of the man standing on a stick to the opposite side with my heel, shattering it.
“–Gyaaaah!!!?”
I stomped on the man’s face as he rolled around screaming in extreme pain, and I looked down at him coldly, silencing him with my intimidation and killing power.
“I’ll drag you away. Let’s have him show us around like an adult.”
