Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 158.3
Moreover, the fire lizard was a lizard in name only, and its Magic Stone was of earth attribute. Therefore, in order to obtain fire magic stone, one would have to hunt another kind of monster or buy it in town.
To counter the monsters in the sky, two magicians of Rank 3 or above would be needed, and only a noble could operate such a thing.
Ron, who owned it and came to this town, was probably a nobleman of the Khalfaan empire.
But we would not pry into it. We were trusted enough to be informed that they owned something of such importance.
We would not be foolish enough to pry into what the noble Ron came to this town to find out, and we would not be foolish enough to break that trust.
They acted for their own purposes, and we acted for ours. But–
However, we might have been a little naive.
“Aria, are you going out again?”
“Yes. I have a few more things to do.”
As I returned from the rooftop and prepared to go out again, Elena called to me with a worried look on her face.
There’s never enough time. It had been two months since we went missing – Elena and I estimated that the country had half a year to give up on the princess’s survival – but as time went on, people would start to think bad things. So, we must promptly send Elena to the Khalfaan empire.
“Wait–[Healing Cure]–“
Elena’s hand touched my cheek as she stopped me, and a gentle light erased the heat from my cheeks, which had been scorched by the heat of the desert.
“Thank you.”
“Don’t mind it…Aria, be careful.”
I put my cloak and hood back on and walked alone through the desert.
Leaving the watchtower where Elena and the others are–
“–[Illusion]–“
The illusory flame I created, the fire ray from Carla’s specialty [Fire Breath] hit the rocky ground, and two shadows leapt out from the place in a hallucination that even expressed heat.
Two figures clad in desert sand-colored cloaks, one rolling on the ground and firing arrows from a crossbow-like weapon, the other drawing a dagger coated with poison like sludgy oil, were heading straight for me.
I caught the arrow, which was probably also poisoned, in my cloak, and while dodging the dagger of the man who jumped in, and drove the arrow into his face.
“—-!”
The man collapsed without a scream, and the weight-shaped pendulum I released hidden behind his shadow hit the head of the man who shot the arrow from the side, and the guy was blown away with a high-pitched scream.
The woman – who I quickly pounced on, after kicking her down before she could draw her weapon, and then thrusting a black dagger at her throat, let out a grunt.
“You!”
“I’m the one asking. Who are you aiming at?”
“What?”
The woman gasps as I release my intimidation.
The hood of the cloak she was wearing fell off, and what appeared was the face of a dark elf girl, not much older than me, staring at me.
