Hi, everyone. Please support us on Patreon (Click HERE). Thanks.

Hasan chuckled to himself at the thought.

Hasan and the other Dark Elf were declared “Evil” and feared like monsters by the teachings of the Holy Church that had arrived from another continent. The Dark Elves, who were driven out of the rich land by a quarrel with the Forest Elves, with whom they had a long-standing feud, swore revenge and called themselves the “Demon Race”.

He could not help but laugh at the fact that he associate the strange being with [angels], and were even captivated by it.

But what was it that fell from that flying object? There was still too much distance to tell, but something might have been broken by the dragon’s attack and a piece of glass might have fallen out.

However, it was clear that there was something in that place, and it was Hasan’s role as the spearhead to eliminate any danger to the Demon Army.

“From now on, my team will head for the spire where the dragon attacked! There is a possibility that something unknown is lurking there! But I believe that those of our clan who are valiant and brave will be able to defeat whatever is waiting for us!”

[Oooooh!!!]

When Hasan called out to his men, the demon soldiers of the same clan responded by raising their weapons and heading for the tower as if in search of prey.

Hasan’s centurions were from the clan led by Hasan’s father. The strength of the soldiers was Rank 2 even for ordinary soldiers, and there were even Rank 3 captains of the ten who were responsible for organizing them. The 100 men could easily defeat an opponent with twice the number of men.

But then…

“Wait! Something is coming toward us!”

“Something… report clearly…”

A young soldier ahead of them shouted, and Hasan turned his head to see “something” in front of his eyes.

Coming straight at him from the direction of the spire, a shadow clad in rags and tatters racing across the desert at a frightening speed.

As the sun was setting, the shadow stretching from the rags fluttered like a bird in the sky and sand, which had begun to turn red, like an evil monster appearing in the desert, taking their breath away.

“Shoot your arrows! Don’t let it get close!”

His uncle, the second-in-command next to Hasan, sent instructions around, and he looked at his still-young nephew with a wry smile on his face.

“Hasan, do not let your guard down. You are the next chief.”

“Sorry, uncle…”

The trained archers immediately fired arrows, dozens of them striking the sprinting shadow. With these trusted subordinates and friends, even if it was a real monster, there was nothing to fear.

“Nah!”

But the arrows did not hit. The arrows, released in a heap, were thrown behind the shadow, which gained even more speed.

The archers rushed to prepare the next attack. But how many seconds does it take for the next arrow to be nocked? Five seconds or ten seconds? Shooting an arrow at a large army was a different situation. How many seconds does it take to aim at a single enemy at a distance?

The sight of the enemy approaching at several times the speed of a normal person caused the soldiers in the lead to momentarily panic. This impatience was transmitted to the archers, and by the time they had set their sights on the enemy, the enemy had closed in on the lead soldiers.

“Aaah!”

The lead soldiers hid behind their shields with a shriek and thrust out their long spears without even looking. But what was the point of spears that had no aim? The enemy deflected the spearhead to the side with the palm of its hand, and then, using the huge shield as a springboard, easily jumped over the spear line.
