“…hiii!”

The rag-clad figure flew through the air like a ghost, and the silver light leaking from the rag’s hem caused the archers to scream.

A jet-black blade gleamed from the rag’s shadow. Unable to even let go of their bows, they were cut to pieces by invisible blades, and when the survivors abandoned their bows and drew their daggers, the figure had left the archers behind and was closing in on Hasan and his men.

“Don’t let it get close!!!”

Immediately, the deputy commander gave the order, and the guards protecting the clan’s son thrust out their spears toward the approaching enemy.

Several spears pierced the rags flying in the air. However, the enemy changed its position as if kicking up in the air, and using the ragged cloak it was wearing as a decoy, it descended to the ground while stepping on one soldier’s face.

“Ridiculous…that was like…”

Before the wide-eyed second-in-command could finish his words, a flying knife pierced his brow.

A lightning bolt. The way she fought, cutting into the enemy line single-handedly and killing the enemy general, reminded him of the prestigious name of a female demon warrior who had died on the battlefield decades ago.

“… “War Demon.”…”

A single girl reflected in Hasan’s eyes. A war demon of the desert.

Her gray-iron hair danced in the wind, and her piercing eyes did not see Hasan, but only ahead, until the blade from her hand took Hasan’s life.

***

One….

I killed the two men who seemed to be the commanders of the troops that had spearheaded the fight, running straight ahead.

My master had told me how to fight in group battles. If you crush the heads, the command of the troops will be confused, and they would not be able to show their true strength. But that was only if there was a follow-up team.

If I fight alone, there will always be a limit. What I was doing was nothing more than stalling for time.

Even so, it was worth fighting for.

Sorry… Elena, on that day when we were young, I promised you that I would kill even the Demon King if you wanted me to… but I was about to put my life on the line, without being asked.

Slipping past the confused soldiers around the commander, I turned my head further toward the direction where the enemy’s main camp was located.

[Aria (Alicia)] [Race: Human Female] [Rank 4

[Magic: 213/330] [Strength: 188/260]

[Total Combat Value: 1497 (Special Physical Enhancement: 2797)]

[Move: Iron Rose /Limit 154 Second]

One hundred and fifty seconds left – my aim was the head of the Demon Army general.

“Aaah!”

My speed-enhanced legs blast backward as if kicking up sand.

A residue of light trails like a comet from my back as I run past, leaving the scenery behind.

I was not afraid of arrows fired from a distance. I dodged all the arrows with my eyes, and again, I ducked and dived into the enemy’s line, twisting and turning to avoid a line of spearheads that were sticking out from between the gaps in my shield.

[What the heck is this bastard?]

[Kill it!]

[It’s going to hit one of our men!]

The soldiers were confused. Because of their confusion, spears and blades were randomly thrown out, but there was no point in stopping if the wounds I received were not fatal.

I deflect a blow from a spear and hit another soldier. Diving in as while doing a spin, I cut down the enemy who stands in my way.

Not yet. I should be able to move faster. I run through the doubled time, running at a speed that the enemy could not see, splattering blood with my hands. I plunged into the bosom of the commander-like man who looked at me with a stunned expression, and thrust my dagger deep between his eyes.

…Two.
