A Demon Army outpost, huh? Apparently, the situation was not so good.
Being on the other side of the ancient ruins means that in order to get back to the town of Cutlass, we would either have to cross an ancient ruin the size of a small country, or walk endlessly through the desert in the middle of nowhere. To do that, we would have to break through the Demon siege, and even if we could return, the town of Cutlass would probably be occupied by the Demon Army.
But we would not give up. If we have our lives, we could still do something.
That was how I had always lived. This situation was no different than any other “survival” situation I’ve ever been in.

Why were we put in here? I didn’t see any guards…”
“I haven’t seen a guard since the day before yesterday. I don’t know why they are keeping us alive. If we’re prisoners of war, we should at least be offered food.”
