Elena and Ron had a discussion before they came here and decided that Elena was protected by Ron when she was with the children.
And with the arrival of Sera and the others, it was decided not to mention that Elena was not in the imperial capital or kidnapped, but instead to pretend that the princess of Cleydale Kingdom was visiting the Khalfaan Empire on a goodwill visit, using the ship that Sera and the others came in, and not returning to Cleydale Kingdom immediately, but staying in the Khalfaan Empire for a while.
“Elena-sama, you will owe the Empire a debt, is that correct?”
“If that’s the extent of the debt, I can borrow as much as I need to. Since it’s a country that is friendly to us, they won’t be so rude to us. At best, we will only lose a few years in tariffs.”
Originally, it was the Cleydale Kingdom that allowed the Demons to invade. Elena discarded the idea that it would be a small price to pay to return safely and prevent the princess from being publicly humiliated.
The empire did not want to go to war with the Cleydale Kingdom, so they could only do what Elena said they wanted to do. However, depending on Elena’s position within the empire, she might be able to make the negotiations more favorable.
For Elena, negotiations with other countries were a necessity in order to solidify her faction’s ground.
“Sera, you will assist me in the imperial capital. I will use your connections. …I hope you will be able to help us as well, Lawrence-sama.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
Ron, the young nobleman who stayed here as the only benefactor with a solemn face, nodded in agreement. It was an action that Ron, who owed the girls a debt, had proposed himself, even though as the third prince it might be an action that would hinder the interests of the empire.
The time he had spent with Elena and Aria over the past month had had a profound effect on Ron’s values as a prince.
Elena told Sera and the others that Ron was a collaborator and told them what had happened so far.
“Aria…stayed behind alone to help us escape the Demon Army.”
At these words, everyone gasps, except Elena and Ron.
The Demon Army numbered about 2,000. And then there was the presence of a rank 6 earth dragon that seemed to have been used by the Demon Army. Even Feld and Viro, who knew Aria’s strength better than anyone else, and who were familiar with the battle, felt that it was hopeless. And yet–
“I don’t think Aria is dead.”
Only Elena’s eyes, the only one among them, looked straight ahead and believed in Aria’s survival. She believed in her, who had survived no matter how hopeless the situation.
“Two months at the most. This is the longest I can stay in the Imperial City. If I have two months, Aria will definitely take action. So…”
Elena cut off her words there and turned her eyes to the rainbow-colored sword with more strength in her slightly moistened eyes.
“As princess, I request you, Rainbow Sword, to find Aria….”

“Who are you?”
The desert town of Cutlass was taken over by the Demon Army.
All those who rebelled were killed.
Those who knew of the opportunity had already fled.
And so the town, with its remaining inhabitants temporarily crammed into their houses, has regained its apparent tranquility.
Even so, a burning smell wafted in from afar, as if some of the houses were still smoldering, or perhaps the bodies were being burned.
It was not Demon who raised his voice, but a Cruzian. Judging from their black-painted equipment, they were probably members of the Rizan Group, which had betrayed the town, not the residents who had fled.
