Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 173.1
Darkness of the Demons
“General Aishe, how long are you going to keep them in jail!”
At the Demon Army fort, Camille, dressed in a Demon Army officer’s uniform, bangs on the desk as he approached the woman, who greets him in her office and gives him a condescending look while crossing her long legs on the couch.
“I did take her in, but she’s also a prisoner of the Demon Army. You must know how dangerous she is. So understand that we cannot leave such a dangerous person unattended in the company of important people…. right?”
“Kuh…”
Camille grunted and gritted his teeth at Aishe’s ridiculing tone.
Camille was able to use his status to protect their “enemy” who had fallen on the battlefield. However, he also understood what Aishe was saying about not being able to simply release the enemy on Camille’s behalf because of his status.
Camille was an important person for the Demons. However, Aishe’s attitude indicated that she did not want to let the enemy go. She did not show any respect for him, and even though she is a general, she did not correct her words, clearly showing her disdain for him.
“Only the wounds were sealed with magic. There were no wounds that reached her internal organs, so that one wouldn’t die. …I also have a few question for you…”
A darkness shimmers in Aishe’s golden eyes as she mutters in a vindictive tone of voice.
Aishe’s only family member – how could a human girl use the skills of her sister, who was supposed to have died on the battlefield? Where did she learn this skill? What connection did she have with her sister who was supposed to be dead?
If possible, she would like to torture him right now to find out, but with wounds like those, the girl shouldn’t regain consciousness for a few more days.
Who was that girl? Camille said she was an adventurer in Cutlass, but how could a little girl who had lived only a dozen years have that much power? How did a mere human race acquire the ability to approach Aishe, who had trained for more than fifty years?
She was able to understand it only because she had directly clashed blades with her. Although she was unable to make an immediate assessment, the strength she felt on her skin was in the realm of someone who could defeat even Aishe.
Aishe saw the shadow of her sister behind that strength.
“If you want to hear from that fellow, then let me first try to talk to her properly. You won’t be able to talk to her if she ends up dying soon.”
“…”
Camille glared at her as he said so, and Aishe met his eyes with a cold dark gaze.
“Fine, do as you please…” Thinking calmly, Aishe reluctantly agreed, as though there was merit in his words.
That girl should have been killed on the spot. I still feel the same way. However, Camille prevented me from doing so, and as a result, I had the opportunity to learn the identity of the technique the girl used.
I wouldn’t say I’m grateful for that, but I’m willing to leave that to Camille for the time being.
(…but let’s just drive a wedge, shall I?)
“Oh, and take the Dwarf woman we took captive with you. She’s your “friend” just like that woman, right? In a few days, they’ll be… arriving here. Until then, you’ll have to come up with an excuse to convince them. Right, my prince?”
“…I know.”
