Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 174.4
The peach blonde woman’s fighting strength was at the top of Rank 4, but not significantly different from Adra’s, which was close to 1200. She must still be fatigued from the dungeon, and even without that, she was Adra’s easiest opponent to assassinate, being a scout-type warrior who did not know that Adra was a spirit-user.
Adra headed to the spot where the wind spirit had found her and called out to the woman’s back with a forceful smile on her cheeks that almost made her grin.
“Hey, what are you doing here? Young lady.”
Many of the elven species were beautiful. Adra approached the peach blonde girl with a good-natured smile on his face.
As Adra approached, the girl, Aria, quickly got up from her chair and turned suspicious eyes toward Adra.
“Don’t be so alarmed. The Selection Ceremony is still three days away, so there’s no point in getting worked up about it now, is there?”
“I guess so…”
Adra with a smile on his face speaks to her without hostility, and Aria’s face, which had been stern, changed slightly to calm, and Adra sneered at her inwardly as he moved even closer to her.
“Actually…I’ve been looking for you.”
“…Why?”
“Because–“
Boom!
At that moment, a strong shock of magic popped in the back of Aria’s head.
“To watch you die!!!!”
Aiming at the moment when the low-ranking spirit wind spirit slammed into the back of Aria’s head, Adra pulled out a black knife and dagger from his waist and thrust them into Aria’s face.
“What?”
“What a coincidence.”
Adra’s knife and dagger were stopped by the fingertips of Aria’s hands.
Adra was not holding back. Admittedly, he was proud of the fact that he had tricked his opponent, caught her off guard, and caught her by surprise in a battle he was not supposed to lose, but that was because the attack had been so successful that he could be proud of himself.
How could the spirit’s attack not work? How could she catch the sharp blade of the magical steel with her bare hands without fear?
“I was looking for you as well.”
Who was the one who was caught off guard? Who was the one who was fooled?
Who was the target? Who was it?
The knife and dagger in Adra’s hand had been snatched away with a slight twist.
Why? Before he could even think about it, heat rushed to his throat and reddish-black blood gushed out.
Why was Aria looking for Adra? Why was her weapon so easily taken from him?
Aria knew the weapon’s quirks well enough that it was so simple to take it from him.
She “saw” the spirit approaching behind her and defeated it by placing a magic shield over the back of her head.
Aria finally regained her weapon and readied it, thrusting the dagger between Adra’s eyes as she slashed at his neck with the knife.
“From the moment I saw you in that room, I knew you would be my first target.”
