Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 176.3
Camille exhaled after confirming that all the demon wolves had been destroyed, and shook his head at Kadori, who called out to him from behind.
“I’m fine. We’ll keep going.”
“Hey, hey, you’re just going to leave the meat-?”
Jessha interrupted Camille, who immediately decided to proceed.
The dungeon under Fort Demon was a [beast] dungeon. There have been many theories as to where the monsters in the dungeon come from. One theory suggests that the dungeon’s miasma generates monsters, while another says that the dungeon extends its entrance like the roots of a tree, luring monsters in.
In either case, the meat of the beast would be a feast for the desert-bred Jesha. It was smelly and tough, but a hardy dwarf wouldn’t mind any of it.
“The smell of blood attracts other beasts. Give up the meat.”
“Ugh.”
At Camille’s words, Jesha let out a sigh as she looked around at the complicated area around them, and with a regretful look back, they started walking again.
This dungeon had only ten levels, but it was unusually intricate.
The interior of the dungeon, which had been repeatedly enlarged and reconstructed to increase the number of entrances, had become the worst kind of maze, with scaffolding changing heights as they advanced, ceilings changing heights, and passageways with no stairs on the walls, ceilings, or even the floor, making it possible to lose even their own position after just a few steps.
The only way to get through this place would be to dive in many times and make an accurate map. Even now, with the possibility of beasts popping out of the darkness of the side holes near the ceiling, Camille and the others, who had obtained a simple map from the moderates, had no choice but to carve marks on the floor and proceed to the far end of the dungeon, their spirits drained by the tension.

“…found the target.”
A group of people stared at them from one of the dark corridors.
Only those who had declared themselves and their warriors were allowed to participate in the selection ceremony. But each clan had sent a raiding party to kill other warriors as well. Although they were not official warriors and their strength was below Rank 3, they still risked their lives for their clans.
“A prince, a dwarf woman, and…that’s about all you could discern?”
“Wasn’t there five of them, as I recall? Who is missing?”
“Who is this ‘human woman’ that Master Elgrim was so concerned about? The one with the hood?
“I don’t know, but I think there was a Rank 3 girl, so maybe she’s gone.”
“Be on your guard. We’re going to meet up with Sir Gram first.”
“””Oooh.”””
They waited for Camille and the others to come in through the gate, which they did so with a foolish honesty. There were many unreachable places in this intricate dungeon, but their clan’s map still covered most of the first layer.
“We’re going after the prince and his men. We’re up against a skilled Rank 4. We will attack them in an open area in the back.”
After joining up and receiving reports from his companions, Gram gives the order.
They were an assassination squad under Elgrim. Not everyone who had been scattered had yet gathered, but there were still more than half of them, numbering close to 20 men.
Gram, one of Elgrim’s subordinates and the leader of the assassination squad, did not underestimate the power of a Rank 4 even though the number of enemies was small. In order to ensure that he would take care of them, he decided to use the map to get ahead of them and kill the prince alone in a raid in a large area.
Gram proceeds with caution. …too careful…to the point of…
“…?”
“What’s up?”
