Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 181.2
Carla looked “dying” to anyone’s eyes. It was a wonder how she could even stand on her own two feet, let alone move in her current state.
Perhaps she not only used the warrior as a shield, but also used Water Magic’s [Water Veil] and [Water Ball], and to neutralize the flames and blew it away with Level 5 Wind Magic’s [Typhoon].
But if the power of those black thorns was to strengthen her magic level, she could have healed her current wounded body if she had left them as they were. Carla understood the meaning of Elgrim’s words when he asked her why she turned it off, and she looked into the distance as if thinking of her distant “friend” and scoffed at the foolish sage who seemed to live a hundred times longer than she did.
“–she had to really fight to retain her strength. But I’m different…–preserving strength is something that only someone with a future… not for someone like me…?”
She didn’t care when she died. Just live life to the fullest in the present.
But she also did not intend to die on the spot, nor did she intend to be killed by any other hand than Aria’s. So she threw herself into the fight for more than Aria. So if Aria was not willing to put up a better fight than her, then she would not recognize Aria as someone she wished to kill and be killed by.
“Besides…pain, it hurts, but, doesn’t it make you feel alive?”
Carla’s comment that only the pain from near-death experiences could be considered “living” horrified everyone in the room, and Elgrim’s gleeful smile faded as his eyes narrowed.
“Don’t underestimate me, little girl.”
[Elgrim] [Race: Dark Dark Dark Elf Male] [Rank 5]
[Magic Power: 476/570] [Strength Value: 143/154]
[Total Combat Power: 2616 (With Physical Enhancements: 3539)]
A strange killing spirit and sense of intimidate was emitted from the withered Elgrim. Even the warriors under his command gasped at the pressure, and the monsters in the dungeon who had been watching the situation in the vicinity scattered as if to escape.
“Aha ?”
Carla, the only one who laughed cheerfully, danced in the sky as if her entire body was erupting with magical power.
“–[Dig Volt]–“
A wide area of lightning bombardment hits the surrounding area. However, the warriors of the magic clans who use Magic for assassination attacked Carla, using their protective talismans as a substitute to receive her attack.
“I got you!!!”
Carla’s vitality value was very low. Physical strength and vitality were not synonymous, but even so, the warriors threw their hidden weapons in a scattered manner, thinking that a single graze wound would be enough to bring her to her death.
Carla, however, wielded a torn cast net, which she had concealed in her burnt dress, to entangle the hidden weapons.
The hidden weapons she couldn’t knock off were dodged with her eyes. Fear would cloud the mind. Even with Taijutsu skill, which she had acquired only two levels in order to gain thought acceleration, allowed her to avoid the hidden weapons as long as she could see them.
She learned that from Aria.
Even without the fundamentals of hand-to-hand combat, she was able to avoid attacks by tracing the movements of the girl she had been watching most of her life, and then she used her lightning-quick throwing net to entangle the two warriors, grabbing the hidden weapon that had spilled from their hands and piercing it from the eyes of its owner to their brains.
