Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 225.1
Eroding Malice
“Everyone, I’m very happy that you’ve taken time out of your busy schedules to come here today.”
An evening party hosted by the First Princess Elena was being held at one of the guesthouses in the royal capital.
The guests included ambassadors from various countries staying in the kingdom. From within the kingdom, the nobles who are all allies of the royal family were also in attendance.
The neighboring countries also had their own plans. They were staring at the First Princess, trying to find flaws in her character, such as issues with tariffs and interests after she became king.
Elena noticed their gazes, but looked at them coldly with a smile.
We should be careful in our relationships with our neighboring countries. Of the other countries we invited, the only ones that are important are the great Khalfaan Empire, the trading nation of the Ganzar United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Kanhar, which is for connecting with the north, and the Theocracy of Fandora, the headquarters of the Holy Church.
Of course, friendly relations with the neighboring countries are important, but the various things the nobles have done have caused more harm than good. In particular, the agricultural industry in the region was hit hard by the large amount of wheat imported by the nobles from the Solhoss Kingdom.
But Elena was more angry at herself than anything.
It is true that she was unable to eliminate her brother and his associates from the very beginning, without the cooperation of Melrose and Dandol, but she still thought that she could resolve the situation peacefully through political maneuvering alone. However, when she realized that her opponent was so thoughtless, it became difficult to eliminate them politically.
(…I never thought that the three months I was sent to the desert would cause such a pain.)
The Evil Race’s plan to weaken the kingdom by eliminating Princess Elena was correct. However, what made Elena angry was that it caused her important friend to return to the world of darkness.
The disappearance of Aria, the princess’s aide, was accepted without much fuss, including rumors of her death, thanks to Mikhail’s adjustment and release of information.
The Crown Prince faction started spreading rumors of his death after Elena hinted at him during her meeting with Ervan and Clara, but as Elena had hoped, this should have made it easier for Aria to act.
(…I’ll definitely get him back)
The plan remains the same. In the few months until Crown Prince Ervan graduates, I will gather enough evidence to convince the people that the Crown Prince faction and the Saint are the problem, and summarize the benefits of becoming king and present it to His Majesty the King for him to decide.
Considering the current situation, I cannot yet eliminate Ervan and the Saint. However, Elena understood that Aria had gone into hiding to weaken their power from behind the scenes.
A few months later, the Magic Academy graduation party will be held at the royal castle. Determined to create a foundation for Aria to return to the public by then, Elena spoke with a cheerful smile to one of the people she was after today, a person believed to have come from the Kingdom of Fandora to certify the Saint.
“Nice to meet you, Lord Heiram.”
