Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 227.3
Several adventurers responded to her and stepped back, picking up Gran, while several more took hold of their daggers and hatchets and attacked the girl, recognizing her as an enemy.
“Don’t think you can fight her properly in this small space!”
From the girl’s appearance, she was likely a scout or light warrior. In that case, her fighting style would be to focus on evasion using her speed, but in a small place like this with the stairs, the space to evade was limited, and her speed was also restricted. But–
“Guh!?”
The girl gently deflected the approaching blade with her bare hands, then slashed the adventurer’s throat with her knife.
The adventurer hesitated to jump in for a moment, but the girl glided closer and stabbed him under the chin with a dagger.
“{Fire…}”
One of the adventurers who was about to cast fire magic suddenly collapsed with blood spurting from his neck.
“Watch out! Something’s there!”
For a moment, Cardis saw something like a thread floating around the girl. He didn’t know what it was, but the girl started to move at the same time as he warned the people around him.
“Damn!”
In response, one adventurer stepped forward to act as a shield. However, it must have taken a huge difference in strength to make that happen, as a man twice the size of the girl was instantly broken to his knees, and as he collapsed, he was hit in the jaw with a palm strike and his neck was broken straight back.
“…That’s stupid”
The adventurers here were skilled warriors even in the Solhoss Kingdom. Even rank 3 had a combat power of over 500, and some of them, like Cardis and Jeff, were rank 4.
Looking at the girl, he knew from her presence that she was no ordinary person. Still, he looked down on her because of her cute appearance. This is especially true for young people. Even Cardis hadn’t even {Appraised} the girl’s appearance.
“…2400…?”
I saw an impossible fighting power. How could a girl in her mid-teens have such power? Even after training for half her life, her fighting power was only about 1000…
In the Kingdom of Cleydale… No, even in the Kingdom of Solhoss, there is no one with such fighting power.
–Strongest–
Those words flashed through Cardis’ mind. When he was young, he lived for it. But when did he give up on it and start living…?
“Everyone, retreat to a wide area! Fight back with your favorite weapon!!”
Unlucky. All Cardis could do was shout it, even though he wanted to click his tongue and spit at his employer.
An enemy probably ranked 5 or higher. At that level, common sense doesn’t apply. No matter how small the space is for a scout, if only two people can attack at the same time, they will be dealt with for that reason alone.
What would it take to let other adventurers know about your fighting power? It would only frighten them. Cardis had already given up fighting and was planning to capture Gran and escape.
The other adventurers were sacrifices to buy him time. They could only use their weapons to surround him and buy him a little time.
But it didn’t take long for him to realize that even that was a naive idea.
“Cardis! What’s going on!?”
“Master, calm down and listen.”
Gran was still in the hall, surrounded by the remaining adventurers. While internally clicking his tongue at his employer for not running away in this situation, Cardis immediately ran over and whispered so only he could hear.
“That guy’s dangerous. We’d better run now.”
“Don’t be stupid! If that thing in the basement gets out, I’m doomed!”
“We’re a species that only needs life!”
As long as we’re alive, we’ll manage. The best thing to do would be to get Duke Helton to hide her and then try to make a comeback.
I’ll have to beat her up and take her out. That thought crossed my mind, but the battle had already moved to the square, and while the surrounding adventurers were pointing their weapons at her, the girl suddenly turned her attention to Cardis and Gran.
“–Stop!!”
There was no basis for Cardis’s words. However, she had an intuition that the girl was going to aim straight at them.
“Guah”
