Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 57
Dangerous Girl
Long, wavy black hair. Morbidly pale skin. Her purple eyes, covered with dark circles that seemed to be sunken, were staring at me with interest.
She was about my age? From the amount of magical elements surrounding her, it seemed that her body was growing with magical power, just like mine.
She was laughing with a smile so innocent that it made me feel uneasy, even though she had witnessed me killing a man in front of her and roasting him as well.
If I had to describe her in one word… [dangerous]….
“…who?”
“That’s not necessary… I would say… but I’ll tell you… you can call me Carla.”
[Carla] [Race: Human ??]
[Magic: 375/395] [Strength: 31/45]
[Total Combat Power: 323]
Her enormous magic power and strength was on the level of a child… and the power of her magic that could turn a human into charcoal instantly… her abnormality of not thinking about it at all…
Dangerous… could I kill her? Although her physical strength was such that even a single blow would easily kill her, my intuition told me that it would be dangerous to mess with her.
I killed to live, but Carla killed because it pleased her.
“You’re good. You are different from those human pigs. Even when I show them my power, all they think about is whether they can kill me.”
“…Is that why you approached me?”
“Yes. You have a different smell of blood than the others. Or are you just one of those people who don’t understand the value of life, or the beauty of it?”
Carla’s whole body exuded a violent killing intent, even though she was still smiling.
She didn’t need a reason to kill me, but depending on my answer, she would have no reason not to kill me.
“No matter what the reason is, it’s all the same for the person being killed, right?”
“…Hmmm…you’re good after all. Now I have another reason not to kill you. Hey, tell me your name.”
So, that’s how it was. Seeing her like that, I stopped my body enhancement, which I had left activated as I was being wary of her.
“…Aria.”
“Aria… it suits you well. I’m sorry to ask, but what made you decide to tell me?”
I glanced at her, an amused smile hanging on her lips, as I took what I could identify from the dead men’s bodies and dumped them into the ditch.
“I realized I had no reason to kill you.”
The moment I replied, Carla bursted out laughing so hard that she even choked, and her small amount of vitality value was reduced by another 3 or so.

I had no reason to kill Carla, and Carla now had a reason not to kill me.
A psycho and a dangerous girl, but somehow I felt more sympathy for that one aspect of her than for the ten thousand neat things that respectable people put forward.
I supposed she was the same way. She was half a step closer to me than she had been at first.
Carla offered to show me around the dungeon. I guessed it was just a way for her to talk to me, but I felt I could trust her more than I could ask any adventurer… but then I asked…
“How can you dive into a dungeon with that kind of strength?”
“I’ll be fine. If I die, Father will frown at the loss of a pawn, but I think Mother will be truly happy.”
“They’ll throw you away when you fall down.”
“Of course. If that happens, I hope Aria will die with me.”
“Die alone.”
As we were saying these things to each other, we entered a large dungeon that was said to be dangerous, just the two of us.
Even though we were growing up with magical powers, we still looked like children to adults. When such a duo tried to enter the dungeon, the decent soldiers who were guarding outside tried to stop us, but a knight who came out of the stuffing station saw Carla and made way for us as if frightened.
“That’s rude. You look at people like they’re random killers.”
“Don’t you have a mirror in your house, Carla?”
“Aria is beautiful… I bet she’s beautiful even when she’s covered in blood. Your blood or someone else’s, it wouldn’t make much difference.”
Carla was apparently a noblewoman, but the reason she could wander around without an escort was probably because she was a dangerous person with power and strength.
“This is the dungeon of the subhuman beasts. It is said to have at least a hundred levels, but the official number of levels is about 40.”
“Officially? What about unofficially?”
“I heard that the aristocrats once pushed their way to the bottom of the dungeon with a tremendous number of casualties. You’ve heard of it, right? The lowest levels of old dungeons have dungeon spirits in them.”
“…Gift.”
I had heard about that. The spirits dwelled in the lowest floors of old dungeons, and they granted the desired Gift to those who reached the bottom.
Was that why Carla dove into dungeons alone? Carla seemed to be ill, but perhaps she intended to use the blessing to heal her body.
“There are only goblins and kobolds on the first level. See, here they come.”
“Yes.”
I had noticed the presence of the three entities approaching without needing to be told.
“Aria, let me kill them.”
“…”
The request was as natural as begging to pick flowers, and I silently threw a dark weapon from my waist. One of the goblins, who had been hit directly in the throat with a blade, fell over and died.
[Ggagh!]
I approached the remaining two goblins, who stood still in bewilderment, unable to understand what had happened, without making a sound while using Concealment, and the moment the goblins realized what was happening, I simultaneously decapitated them with a black knife and a thin knife, cutting off their heads and cutting off their lives.
“Aria is beautiful after all…”
“Don’t make people work all the time.”
“Well, maybe I’ll do it next time.”
The next two goblins appeared, and Carla fired a [fire arrow] and an ice arrow at the same time, and they died.
Double Chanting Double Spell…Carla said she used magic up to Level 3. The magic she used was Level 1, but its power was incomparably more powerful than the magic the woman had used.
Even though combat power was only a guide, Carla could easily kill an opponent up to Rank 4.
The actuality that the woman was going to guide you to the third level by choosing the shortest course.
“Hey Aria, why do you think monsters don’t get trapped in dungeons?”
Carla was surprisingly chatty.
When there was no more fighting, she talked to me about many things, some meaningful and some meaningless.
Dungeons were monsters, and they could attack upon people and monsters to fight them to gain the life force and magical elements of the creatures that had wandered into them, but older dungeons sometimes set traps based on their wisdom.
Still, they were not such complicated traps.
Many traps had simple mechanisms, such as a pit that dropped to a lower level or a wall whose ceiling collapsed when touched, but they were large in scale and could be deadly.
“Don’t monsters get caught in traps?”
“Yes. Yes, for some reason they don’t. They know where the traps are. Not because they know where the traps are, but because the traps themselves don’t seem to trigger. That’s why it’s said that the monsters in the dungeon set them up that way. So don’t go in there and get yourself crushed. It’s not pretty to get crushed to death.”
“I see…”
…Interesting information.
“Hey, Aria, can I ask you something? I have a fiancée, and I got to meet him for the first time the other day.”
“Wow.”
The subject changed again. I wanted to ask about the dungeon, but I didn’t want to waste my time by saying so.
“That’s an uninspiring reply. Oh well. He’s cute, in the opposite way to Aria, who is my favorite. He’s so innocent that I can’t wait until one day I have to defile him… but I’ll hold off on that until we’re married.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“Hmmm…I wouldn’t kill you so easily, would I? He’s one of my few favorites. But I know he has another fiancée. But that’s okay. I’m uncertain if I’ll be able to have children anyway, so I’ll let him live until he gives me an heir.”
“I see.”
“But I won’t tolerate any more cheating. If he looks at any other woman besides his fiancée, that woman will die in the worst possible way.”
“Well, if he’s cheating on you, I don’t blame him.”
“Hey, you think so. I can’t wait to see when that happens.”
Multiple fiancées… maybe Carla was a very high-ranking aristocrat.
If that’s the case, could she be involved with Elena? If Carla were to become an enemy of Elena’s…
“Keep it moderate. It would be troublesome if a request came in that asks to stop you.”
Perhaps sensing something in my words, Carla stopped and looked straight at me.
“You think Aria can stop me?”
Her eyes shot straight at me. I stared back into those purple eyes, a little sad, a little happy.
“If that’s what Carla wants, I’ll kill you.”
“…Oh, that’s nice. If I were to die someday, I would want to be killed by Aria.”
The guided tour of the dungeon was to end when Carla’s strength could no longer be restored by recovery magic or medicine.
In fact, Carla’s face was pale, and she had only about 10 Strength left, but if this girl could die so easily, Carla’s parents would have no trouble.
As we exited the dungeon and went outside at dusk, a luxurious black carriage was waiting to pick up Carla, as if it was a regular occurrence.
That was where I would say goodbye to her. As I noticed the butler coming to pick her up from the carriage and stop at a reasonable distance away, Carla smiled innocently and whispered stealthily.
“Hey, Aria, you’re being targeted.”
“…I know.”
It was a mystery how Carla had been able to notice this, but she didn’t find it strange.
“Do you want me to kill them?”
I quietly narrowed my eyes and released Intimidate at her ridiculing words.
“If you touch my prey, I’ll kill you.”
“Hmm… that sounds fun too, but not right now. See you later. I have a feeling I’ll see Aria again as long as I live.”
“…”
Leaving behind a few ominous words, Carla got on her black carriage and disappeared.
I’m tempted to do a little more training in the dungeon, but with Radha watching over me, there was no need to reveal my hand yet.
I took an inn for adventurers near the guild I had chosen at random and stayed there to sharpen my dark magic. Two days later, I went to the adventurers’ guild to meet the Mercenary of Dawn who had come out of the dungeon.
