It was natural for me to tell the Crown Prince about Gekke’s accomplishments, but I didn’t realize that royalty would directly compliment a mercenary. Hopefully, this would give Gekke more motivation.

Earl Harfolk then gave a report on the situation in the Foan and explained the status of supplies. When he told everyone about last night’s commotion… which I caused, His Highness seemed to be chucking to himself. I couldn’t help but feel that he would make fun of me later for this.

“As for the arrows, I cannot confirm their quality, so I would like to keep them all for random shooting.” (Harfolk)

“That’s fine.” (Crown Prince)

The Crown Prince nodded his approval to the Count’s report. Well, that’s just how things go in a situation like this.

Normally, arrows had arrow feathers, which were made of bird feathers to maintain the arrow’s direction of flight. The problem with that was that even birds have individual differences. Just as no two human beings have the same fingerprints, there were individual differences in the feathers of birds.

Therefore, each arrow had to have three or four feathers, all of which must come from the same individual bird. If feathers were collected from two or more birds for a single arrow, the air resistance of the arrow feathers would change, and the arrow would not fly straight even if it was used by a master archer. Therefore, arrows for sniping, which required accuracy, and arrows for random shooting, which simply needed to hit somewhere in a group of enemies when they came at you in a group, needed to be kept separate.

The bow and arrow makers had their pride as a craftsman, so there was usually not much of a problem with the arrows that were delivered. However, when Coltrezis House was trying to prepare many arrows, as it did this time, such mixed feather arrows might have been mixed in. It was inevitable to just set aside all of them for random shooting just to be safe.

Next, it was reported that reinforcements from Hussehan, the third city under Coltrezis House, had arrived in Colts, the capital of Coltrezis House’s territory. Even so, the number was still less than half of the kingdom’s army, so when it came to defense, they would have no choice but to choose to barricade themselves in the castle.

The fortress between Colts and Foan still seemed to maintain its intention to engage. It might be a way for them to buy time, but… would it be worth it? What was the point of going to such lengths to buy time?

“What about Colts, Coltrezis House’ stronghold?” (Crown Prince)

“Colts seem to be calm on the surface, but according to the information I have received via the church, there is some internal unrest going on.” (Crank)

“It’s difficult to know how much we should believe from that report.” (Crown Prince)

The Crown Prince responded to Viscount Crank’s report, and several nodded.

If the oracle who was supposedly in the Coltrezis House had been actually replaced by a demon, it could be concluded that at least some of the churches in Coltrezis House’s territory as well had already fallen into enemy hands.

If that church continued to insist that a King would emerge from Coltrezis House, some people would believe them. At present, it was agreed that it was better not to rely too much on the information from churches in Coltrezis House’s territory.

“And this is also unconfirmed…” (Crank)

Viscount Crank’s comment brought an indescribable look to the faces of everyone present, there were rumors spreading that the second son of Coltrezis House was dragging the oracle into his bedroom night after night.

It was the eldest son who should have been aiming for Laura, but I could not believe that their household was so bad that even the second son would even dare make such depraved moves.

“Shouldn’t we just ignore it?” (Harfolk)

Viscount Crank responded with a nod. I understood His Highness’ suspicion, but if that was the case, what would be their aim for doing this? If it was the oracle who was inviting him then the story would be different, in this way, it could also be concluded that the 4th prince of Farlitz was also snared by the oracle.
