Strict Wife Of The ’70s Manages The Household - Chapter 596
Dawang looked at Sanwang and then at Xiaowang.
Xiaowang raised his cute yet striking little face, looking at his Eldest Brother with a smile and moisty eyes as he said, “Eldest Brother, what should we do?”
Dawang, “…” Sigh, why did you have to follow along? Little brat.
He glanced intensively at the entrance where the movie was playing, but turned back and said calmly, “Let’s go to the opera.”
Regardless of anything else, one could definitely hear the slight helplessness in his voice.
Xiaowang jumped up happily and clapped his hands, “Oooh, great! Let’s go buy a ticket!”
Although they had enough money to watch movies and listen to the opera altogether, they didn’t have enough time. Besides, they have to set aside some money to buy some toys.
When buying tickets, the ticket salesman looked at the three of them and frowned. There had never been such a mature-looking teenage boy who chose to listen to the opera.
Operas were usually the target activity for dates or it was a family outing that was taken charge of by parents. But here they were, an older brother bringing along two little ones.
Dawang, “My parents are inside.”
The man was a little confused at first, but now that there was a reason behind it, he didn’t care and simply sold him a ticket.
Prior to the Chinese New Year to the present, there have been movies and operas taking turns having the spotlight. Visitors usually hailed from the city and there were only very few of those who came from the countryside, so the tickets were not limited by any means.
Dawang had to buy a ticket because he was tall. Sanwang got by squatting slightly, but Xiaowang couldn’t reach the level even after jumping hard, so the three brothers got in with one ticket(2).
(T/N: I’m going to assume that the ticket is free for kids and that is gauged by height)
Sanwang resisted a little, “Eldest Brother, can I go to the movies by myself?”
Dawang, “No.”
Sanwang didn’t dare to say anything and followed behind Xiaowang obediently.
He could push the limits with his mother, bully his sister and cajole his younger brother, but he didn’t dare get angry with his Eldest Brother. Since he was following Dawang, he would listen to the opera if that was what his Eldest Brother said to do.
This was especially true during the Chinese New Year. Because he had asked Uncle Qingyun if he wanted to be his mother’s boyfriend and his father wasn’t doing well yet, he ended up getting beaten up by his Eldest Brother that night.
Alas, the pain made his backside numb throughout the entire night.
After being beaten, he quickly figured out one thing— whether it came to being her man or her boyfriend, the spot could only be filled by his father.
Thinking of this, he sighed.
This time, the performers chose the opera, ‘The White-Haired Girl’.
Sanwang, “Why not Yang Zirong? If Yang Zirong comes, what is Huang Shiren to him?”
Dawang reached out and pressed his head, telling his brother to be quiet and not to disturb his sleep!
When the singer sang, “The north wind is blowing, the snowflakes are floating~~” Sanwang couldn’t help complaining, “If I were Sister Ah Qing, I would have slapped him back where he came from long ago. By then, his hair would be floating!”
Someone in front turned back to glare at him.
Xiaowang raised his index finger towards his brother, “Shh~~”
