Strict Wife Of The ’70s Manages The Household - Chapter 597
Sanwang, “…” It feels like there is a nail growing on my butt, which is more uncomfortable than going to class.
If he had known better to not be greedy, he would not have asked Xiaowang to join in because of the 20 cents. This would have been a good thing, but he was the one who sought trouble for himself.
Nevertheless, Xiaowang happily listened. He was so short that it didn’t matter if he was standing. In fact, he was still making gestures with his two little hands.
Sanwang suddenly came up with the idea that it would be okay if he and his Eldest brother went to the movies. They could leave their youngest here to listen to the opera show and once they were done, they’d come back to pick him up.
After all, no matter how fascinated Xiaowang was, he wouldn’t run around.
He tugged on Dawang’s arm, leaned over and muttered something.
Dawang opened his hand to cover his brother’s face and pushed him down on the seat. You have another stupid idea!
After finally finishing the opera, Sanwang jumped up and cheered, “Okay, let’s go!”
Xiaowang, “There’s still more~~”
Sanwang, “There’s no more.”
There was a break before the second half of the opera continued.
Sanwang refused to listen and fooled Xiaowang, who pouted.
Dawang was about to comment about staying back to continue, but Sanwang pulled Xiaowang up and ran off, “Aiya, we still have to buy a remote car— have you forgotten? Come on and hurry up; otherwise, it will get dark soon. We’ve already heard most of it anyway, so we shouldn’t worry mother and father.”
Xiaowang listened and was almost entranced. Since he was merely a young child, he had no sense of time.
Upon hearing that the sky was darkening and his parents might not be able to find him after it became night, he immediately followed after Sanwang and ran.
Dawang, “…”
Finally leaving the theatre, Dawang let out a large breath and felt like he was coming back to life.
However, nothing could be seen on the surface as his face remained expressionless.
Sanwang, on the other hand, sang as he jumped up and down with joy, “The God of Gates carries a big sword, both large and smaller ghosts are denied entry…”
Several people outside laughed and said, “This kid sings in a weirdly… interesting manner.”
Sanwang, I’ll just take it as your compliment that I sing well.
Dawang, “How about you go and listen to another one?”
Sanwang pulled Xiaowang and said, “Let’s go! Eldest Brother come with us to buy stuff!”
Dawang took them to a place that specialised in selling toys and stationery. These items were expensive and only wealthy families would buy them for their children, so it didn’t require tickets.
Dawang and Sanwang originally wanted to buy a toy gun, but when they asked for the price, it was 8 Yuan per gun.
Sanwang, I might as well rob one?!
Then they looked at the car.
No matter how old a boy was, he would always be interested in cars and guns.
But upon asking of its price, it was 5 Yuan and 60 cents.
Can I sell myself to you? Sanwang thought.
Xiaowang pointed to the music box and indicated that he wanted it.
Sanwang, “No need to ask its price; we can’t buy it even if we sell both of us.”
When Xiaowang heard that it was expensive, he obediently gave up. He took out his harmonica and tried to play it with the north wind while letting his elder brothers pick out their toys.
Anyway, he had listened to the opera, so he was very satisfied.
