“Sinister?” Han Qingsong sneered. He didn’t hear Lin Lan say anything about this incident at all. When they were eating at home, she was fine. She talked about making Laba congee and the children learning to paint, but she didn’t mention Han Qinghua at all.

All he was hearing was Han Qinghua’s words. And despite the fact that he didn’t hear anything from Lin Lan herself, this guy was doing an impressive job ratting himself out.

Han Qingsong tightened his five fingers as his whole body became tense. His eyes pierced Han Qinghua like they were ice cones, making the younger feel like being pierced by Lin Lan’s awl.

Han Qinghua continued to lay in the snow and cried, whimpering like a child. No matter how normal and mature he behaved now, he was still a 17 or 18 year-old in his bones, or at least he thought so. Trying hard to act mature and please the people around you was something he could act out very well, but the moment he was in trouble, his true colours exposed his real personality.

“You are not good at disguising and you haven’t completely changed, so you don’t have to keep pretending to be harmless.”

Han Qinghua, “Why? Why are you doing this?! Why am I the only one who hasn’t changed? It’s obviously her who is malicious and wants us brothers to turn against each other. She is wrong! Eldest Brother has seen it and he can testify! She slandered me!”

Han Qingsong wanted to beat him up, but seeing as to how he was playing tricks, he was too lazy to even make a move himself.

“Lin Lan didn’t say anything; you said everything yourself.”

Han Qinghua, “…”

“Third Brother, if you don’t believe me, ask Eldest Brother, she was the one who took the initiative to cause trouble. She wanted to stab me to death and humiliate me when I sent her the wedding cakes, so why won’t you give me justice?!” If Lin Lan didn’t complain then that was better, but since he was the only one providing the story, why wouldn’t his Third Brother trust him?

Han Qinghua just couldn’t figure it out.

“You can’t figure out why?” Han Qingsong snorted coldly, “Lin Lan is a reasonable person— if you do your duty, she will naturally treat you with courtesy. How could she use an awl on you? This shows that you were too close to her and you didn’t respect her at all!”

Han Qinghua shouted that he was wronged, “Not at all! I went to deliver wedding cakes when she stabbed me with an awl and asked me to kneel down and apologise. Anyway, she is my sister-in-law and there’s nothing wrong with me kowtowing to my sister-in-law, so I did! If you don’t believe me then ask Eldest Brother!”

Han Qingsong didn’t want to hear anything else, but one thing he was sure of was that he knew more about Lin Lan than Han Qinghua. He said coldly, “I’m warning you for the last time— don’t go to her house to annoy her and avoid her when you see her on the road.”

“What did I do, what did I do? You want to treat me like this? Aren’t we brothers?” Han Qinghua pounded the ground and cried, feeling that he had been slandered.

“It’s not up to me whether we are brothers or not, what matters is if you treated me as an older brother and Lin Lan as a sister-in-law,” With that, Han Qingsong was too unbothered to say anything else as he turned around and walked away.
