Lou Xu felt her heart beating at a rapid pace.

She liked to check out good-looking and attractive people; it was an action that never failed to make her heart throb. Before today, she already thought of this cram school class as her personal haven— Mu Qingyi and Shao Qinghe’s presence was enough to suffocate her. 

At school, Mu Qingyi was the School Grass(2). Shao Qinghe was also one of the boys that were popular among the girls of the school.

To gather together for cram school felt like attending a luxurious camp; to attend classes together was such a pleasure.

Now, there was another beautiful woman in the classroom. Lou Xu was very excited, especially after Xu Xinduo spoke to her and cared about her!

Lou Xu was so happy that she was about to jump up from excitement. She quickly picked up her mobile phone to send some texts to her friends.

Shao Qinghe leaned back in his chair as he listened to the lecture. He could see Xu Xinduo sitting across from him.

He looked at Xu Xinduo’s appearance and then thought about Mu Qingyao. Finally, he turned around to look at Mu Qingyao and couldn’t help but curl the corners of his lips into a smile.

This family is really interesting.

He saw a sheet of paper that was carelessly placed beside his seat by the teacher. Stretching out his hand, he took the paper and realised that it was Xu Xinduo’s answer sheet.

Xu Xinduo’s handwriting was very neat. It seemed like she had especially practiced her handwriting as they looked almost as symmetrical as the typical fonts. He looked through Xu Xinduo’s answers and raised his eyebrows. There was a bit of playfulness lingering in his eyes.

Xu Xinduo did not answer many questions. However, all of the questions that she had answered were correct. Moreover, she seemed to have calculated the scores specifically. It appeared as if she only aimed for the passing marks of every subject and didn’t bother to answer any more questions after that, earning the passing grade for every single subject.

If she had answered all the questions, wouldn’t she have gotten every question correct?

So why didn’t she?

He held his chin and pondered a bit. He felt that the Mu family might have had an interesting situation recently. He folded Xu Xinduo’s answer sheet and made a paper plane from it. In the end, he threw it into the trash can across the classroom.

After class, Xu Xinduo was called to the office.

The tutoring institution had its own process which needed to be introduced to Xu Xinduo. There were also some books and test papers that Xu Xinduo needed to receive.

The other students in the classroom were staying behind to have lunch together. The problem was that their lunch hadn’t been sent over yet.

Mu Qingyao sighed and apologized, “I’m sorry, this is all because of me. I’ve caused trouble for you.”

“I don’t know what your parents were thinking— taking in an adopted daughter and making you suffer on her behalf. Besides, this adopted daughter is always bothering me.”

There were other students in the classroom, so when they heard, they asked, “What’s going on?”

The one who asked the question was Lu Renjia, a good friend of Mu Qingyao. Both of them were students of the advanced class of Jia Hua International School. The two of them also lived near each other and usually attended the cram school classes together. Hence, their relationship was pretty good.

She recently heard that the Mu family had taken in an adopted daughter. But upon seeing Mu Qingyao’s sour mood, she didn’t dare to ask her about it.

Shen Zhuhang said with a sneer, “This adopted girl heard that Yaoyao has a fiance. We haven’t even met and she claimed that she wanted to ‘snatch’ me away from Yaoyao. Then, she entered the International Class because of me. As a person who comes from a school with not-so-professional English teachers, making a move like that not only required guts, but it was basically throwing her life away. I can leave it at that, but she just had to transfer to this cram school as well.”

“My goodness…” Lu Renjia couldn’t help but exclaim, “Isn’t that too much? Is she trying to become a mistress?”
