The Taoist Boss Is Dominating The Horror World - Chapter 9
Chapter 9: Playing with the Ball
The dim red lights in the corridor flickered, the chill almost turning into ice. Toyed with by a human, the little boy’s resentment had reached its peak.
However, upon seeing Chu Ci behind Qing Li, the boy’s face contorted. Blood streamed from his mouth, nose, and eyes, his entire body emanating a malevolent aura, yet he dared not move in frustration.
[“Hahaha, the village girl proves the reliability of the safe house with her life.”]
[The little boy is bleeding from every pore in anger; he might become the first ghost ever to be angered to death.]
[Clearly a terrifying and eerie scene, but I just feel like laughing.]
Because of Qing Li’s skillful moves, the gifts in the livestream reached new heights.
But Qing Li hadn’t had the chance to be happy yet…
“Bang—”
“Ouch—”
A muffled fall followed by a miserable scream.
Due to the little boy scratching the floor earlier, there was a small pool of filthy blood. Qing Li accidentally stepped on it, sitting down hard, gritting her teeth in pain.
And in that instant, several rotten ghost hands protruded from the corridor floor, fiercely grabbing Qing Li’s legs, as if eager to tear her limbs apart.
Everything happened too quickly; the audience in the livestream barely had time to react.
“Dr. Chu, quickly go help Miss Qing Li!” Lin Zizhou urged anxiously.
But Chu Ci remained unmoved, looking on with indifference.
Zhou Ya smirked, feeling that Qing Li deserved this fate.
“Gotcha.”
A decaying face approached Qing Li, the little boy’s mouth splitting to his ears, eyes bulging with a hoarse voice tinged with excitement.
Qing Li wrinkled her nose, disdainfully saying, “Your breath stinks so badly, can you stay away from me?”
The carefully crafted horror atmosphere by the little boy was ruined in an instant: “…”
“I really dislike messy kids. Little brother, you’re dirty and smelly, not cute at all,” Qing Li blinked, muttering.
Despite her serious expression, the little boy’s grotesque, decaying face trembled with anger, and some maggots on the rotting flesh shook off.
“I’m going to kill you and turn you into a toy dirtier and smellier than me.”
Watching maggots almost falling on her, Qing Li’s pupils shook, and she kicked the little boy’s face.
“Crack—”
The sound of bones shattering.
Surprisingly, this kick directly kicked off the little boy’s head.
The freshly installed head of the little boy rolled on the ground again.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to.”
Qing Li somehow had a wet wipe in her hand, casually wiping off the blood and flesh on her shoes.
Apologizing verbally, but her face showed no remorse.
“Miss Qing Li, come back quickly.”
Seeing Qing Li free, Lin Zizhou quickly reached out to pull her.
Qing Li was about to reach out…
“Bang—”
The door was slammed shut.
“I didn’t mean to.”
Zhou Ya looked innocent, hastily explaining, “I just wanted to help pull Qing Li in, but accidentally tripped and hit the door with my foot.”
“You quickly step aside.”
Lin Zizhou didn’t have time to ponder whether Zhou Ya’s actions were intentional or not. He pushed Zhou Ya aside, trying to open the door quickly to rescue Qing Li.
Zhou Ya, full of remorse on her face, secretly anticipated the moment the door opened, hoping to see Qing Li’s shattered body.
Shen Ruo glanced at Zhou Ya, not missing the subtle smile in her eyes.
He silently averted his gaze…
Lin Zizhou opened the door and was stunned by the scene outside.
Where are the people?
Where are the ghosts?
Why is the corridor so clean with nothing in sight?
“Thump, thump, thump—”
The sound of a bouncing ball echoed from deep within the corridor.
Lin Zizhou swallowed, stepped out of the operating room, and felt a chill.
“It’s so cold.”
He shrank his body, and the breath he exhaled instantly turned into a mist.
“Thump, thump, thump—”
The sound of the ball landing again, as if getting closer.
Lin Zizhou’s nerves tightened, fear creeping in. He thought of going back to the operating room but found the door behind him had inexplicably disappeared.
With fear spreading, Lin Zizhou could only grit his teeth and continue forward.
“Thump—”
A ball bounced towards Lin Zizhou, and he instinctively reached out to catch it. The ball landed securely in his hands.
“It hurts so much—”
On top of the ball is a face, its mouth opening and closing, revealing sharp, white fangs.
“Ah~”
Lin Zizhou’s hand suddenly hurts, he emits a miserable cry. The face on the ball opens its blood-filled mouth, tightly biting his hand.
He tries to shake it off, wanting to get rid of the ball in his hand, but it clings stubbornly to his wrist.
An intense, piercing pain makes Lin Zizhou’s cries increasingly desperate.
“Retreat.”
A gentle voice reaches Lin Zizhou’s ears. He widens his eyes, seeing Qing Li appearing before him. A yellow talisman falls onto the head of the face-ball, instantly turning into ashes.
“Ah ah ah—”
This time, it’s the face-ball’s turn to scream.
The jarring sound made the scalp tingle, and the eardrums throbbed in response.
“Why didn’t you save me? Why did you abandon me?”
“Save me, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die…”
The human head-shaped ball roared in discontent, and Lin Zizhou finally recognized her as Lin Xue’er!
“I hate the type that even in death, you still want someone else to take the blame.”
A hint of disdain crossed Qing Li’s eyes, fingers quickly forming a seal, and a palm-sized thunder struck Lin Xue’er’s head, instantly turning her into debris.
“Qing… Qing… Miss Qing Li, you…”
Lin Zizhou stared in disbelief. Did he see things or was it an illusion?
“What?”
Qing Li tilted her head, her bright eyes crystal clear.
“Nothing.”
Lin Zizhou shook his head, but his gaze towards Qing Li burned with intensity.
If he wasn’t mistaken, Miss Qing Li should be the rumored extraordinary person.
If not for fearing to startle Qing Li, he really wanted to kneel down at her feet, cling to her golden thigh, and shout two words—please help.
At this moment, the live broadcast room also stirred.
?Did I see it right? That seems like thunder.?
?Timidly asking, can a person summon thunder??
?I seriously doubt the village girl is human because she never does human things.?
?Upstairs, get lost. But let me prove that the village girl is indeed not human. From now on, she is the goddess in my heart.?
?Village goddess, I’m infatuated with you, crazy for you, banging into walls for you.?
?Idiot, the village girl’s real name is Qing Li, shut up about the goddess nonsense.?
“Miss Qing Li, where is that little boy?” Lin Zizhou asked curiously.
“He got away,” Qing Li replied.
Qing Li lifted her head to glance at the ceiling, a look of regret on her small face.
Lin Zizhou, unaware of why Qing Li was looking at the ceiling, followed suit and looked up. A bone-chilling cold swept through his entire body in an instant.
No wonder the corridor was so clean; it turns out all those things were on the ceiling…
