The Villainess That Was Once A VRMMO player - Chapter 94.1
[Side Story] Invasion of the Worst Demon Lord – Another Reincarnated Person – Part 3
“Oh, Shota-dono!”
“Oh, General Carlide!”
Shota, who had entered Corsral Castle with almost a face pass, was on his way to the conference hall guided by a soldier when a large knight in full silver armor approached him on his way.
He was General Carlide, Commander of the Royal Guard of the Kingdom of Corsral.
He was still in his mid-thirties when he became a general of the Royal Guard, one of the four knightly orders protecting this kingdom, and was one of only a few [Hero Class] in the country.
A hero is blessed by a great spirit of light to become a [hero], but this is not the case with the [Hero Class].
It may be a higher level light spirit, a great spirit of another attribute, or a deity like Shota who received blessings.
Even within the same Hero Class, the qualities were not equal, but differed considerably depending on the spirit, its rank, and the individual’s efforts.
In the case of Shota, he was not a “hero” in the true sense of the word, even though he was given the title of “hero” by the king, but a “Hero Class” that was almost as close to a “hero” as possible, having gained power through the blessing of the “Dragon Priestess” with the light attribute.
Carlide was a [Hero Class] who had received the blessings of the Great Spirit of the Earth, and through his own untiring efforts and qualities, he achieved the greatest defensive strength of all Hero Classes on this continent.
His nickname was Carlide, the [Iron Wall].
Carlide had been eyeing Shota, a young hero of Corsral, for some time, and had trained him several times, even though Shota only knew his own style of swordsmanship.
Perhaps Carlide was headed for the same place as Shota. Despite his position as a general, Carlide, who had been working alone because he knew that his men were everywhere in the castle, sent the soldier who had been guiding Shota back to his to work and walked alongside Shota through the wide corridors of the royal castle.
“General Carlide…what is the situation?”
“Well…not so good.”
Shota asked for an update, assuming that he was going to tell him something that the average soldier would not hear, but Carlide’s expression was not good just like his words.
“Did you hear about the fall of Rebel?”
“Yes… they say that lightning struck the city and destroyed the castle with a single blow from the harbor… but did Rebel really fall in a few days?”
“Not a few days… half a day.”
“Half a day…”
Shota gasped at what he heard again. However, Carlide suddenly grinned at Shota with a wry smile.
“If we believe Rebel’s report…. There may indeed have been dragons and higher rank demons, but they may be powerful, but their numbers were small. If you listen carefully to the story of the fall in half a day, it was a blitzkrieg that targeted military facilities. Other than that, there was no damage to the facilities, and it is only a story that the royal family of Rebel escaped in only half a day.”
“Is that so?”
