A [Fire Ball] shot out from the Demon Lord to burn Lala and Veronica, who were in front of her, together.

Lala shivered in the flames as she felt her own death approaching.

Shota was fighting a one-on-one battle with a jet-black Demon of the Demon Lord’s army.

The Demon’s skill level was about the same as Shota’s. That meant that this demon general had broken through that hellish first limit quest.

It was a fact that even Shota could not suddenly believe, but then, Shota and the Demon General should at least be on an equal footing.

And yet, Shota was gradually being pushed by the Demon General.

The armor the general was wearing was the same armor worn by mid-level players in the VRMMO. But it could not be pierced by Shota’s weapon. All but the most powerful blows were repelled by the armor, and even that jet-black great sword would chip Shota’s blade and cut through Shota’s armor when they clashed.

But more than that, Shota was reminded that there was a definite difference between him and the demon general in front of him, even before skill.

One moment they were trading [Combat Skills] that would have frightened even Shota, and the next they were slashing at each other again with laughter.

How well did he train himself? He surpasses Shota in both status and endurance, and is ahead of Shota in mentality.

I was sure that this kind of person could push the boundaries of the second limit. This guy was no longer a [Human]. He was a [Demon] who only pursued strength and a strong enemy.

Mentally defeated and gradually being driven into a corner, Shota then heard the screams of his female comrades.
