A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 112.2

Facing the last vestige of an adventurer who had lost his human form, Roma described him and his accomplishments to her group.

“Many adventurers wanted to follow him. Cleaver gladly accepted them, built a larger ship, and formed a great party. They were called the Sea Lords.” (Roma)

“But if he ended up becoming undead…” (Kuufa)

“All countries recognized his achievements. His promotion to special class was about to happen, so a great celebration was planned in his country of origin” (Roma)

For that occasion, Cleaver was supposed to bring the giant ship en route to his home country. None of them were planning to stay at sea for so long, not until after they returned home and finished the celebration.

No one, not one of them was foolish enough to underestimate the seas and leave a gap as they sailed across… however–

“The Sea Lords were unable to make an appearance in their homeland.” (Roma)

Roma carefully opened the door to the captain’s quarters. If the Source was in this room, a surprise attack would be the best way forward.

There was only one reason why they did not carry out a surprise attack. They wanted to avoid fighting Captain Cleaver as much as possible.

Although Roma thought that a peaceful settlement with the undead would be foolish, she could not resist the idea.

If Captain Cleaver’s abilities were as legendary as they were told in stories… Roma suppressed a shudder of fear.

“The Sea Lords… sunk. They were sunk by the monster called Emperor Squid, which was a first-class monster at that time…. Isn’t that right, Captain Cleaver?” (Roma)

The Captain’s cabin was filled with radiance, a stark contrast to the dreary interior of the ship.

A huge map of the world hung prominently on the wall, with furnishings that could only be described as expensive.

Behind a desk near a soft King Size bed, a middle-aged man with his back resting against an exaggerated backrest had his eyes closed.

In response to Roma’s question, Cleaver opened his eyes. There were no eyeballs, just a black void.

Roma could barely stifle her screams, Kuufa was breathing hard, Mirai was sweating, and Aquaria was the only one looking at the undead in front of her with curiosity.

“…I’ve been waiting.” (Cleaver)

Cleaver did not open his mouth. However, a low, heavy voice, almost a cacophony, echoed in the brains of Roma and the others.

The voice alone caused discomfort and even nausea in the group.

“I’ll take the vessel… Now, again. We can sail…” (Cleaver)

“Stop it! Where is Litty?” (Roma)

Cleaver pulled out his sword in a quick draw, then stopped in a swinging posture. The almost invisible attack sent Roma flying to the wall of the captain’s cabin, and before they knew it, Cleaver appeared in front of Kuufa with his sword ready to swing again.

“Ah, ah, Ro, Roma, -san…” (Kuufa)

“I caught it, Ka…” (Roma)

Barely able to block the attack, Roma was sent flying and was now vomiting blood, unable to get up.

She tried to stand up by using her sword as a walking stick, but her legs and feet were already unsteady.

The despair of being defeated by a single blow nearly took over her.

“R, run…” (Roma)

Roma reached out with one hand to see Kuufa deploying High Rank Water Magic – Cold Mother.

Unlike during the battle against Napt, she was using all of Aquaria’s power.

Ice immediately enveloped Cleaver.

Next, Roma was also engulfed by the water ball and then carried to Kuufa’s side.
