A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 78.2
Zhul had been pondering the whole time when Aldis’s anger was about to explode.
He glanced at the two Royals and examined their facial expressions, but he could not even read their intentions. He admired the Royalty for the fact that they hardly showed any emotions in their facial expressions.
“Uh… Sometimes, it’s not possible to save everyone. Don’t you know it?” (Zhul)
“Next, please.” (Ilysis)
“Hey, listen.” (Zhul)
By refusing to listen, Zhul’s nerves were gradually being rattled. Testimonies piled up, and the audience became more and more noisy.
Finally, it was the turn of those from the royal capital. Aldis had assaulted a junior adventurer in a high-class restaurant.
Other misdeeds at the establishment were also revealed. This prompted the King to make his move for the first time.
“I supported Yggdrasia with the King’s authority, and if what is being said is true, Aldis, you are as good as tossing mud on my face.” (King)
“Wait a minute. You believe their story over ours? There’s no proof.” (Aldis)
“You think they’re all conspiring together to bring you down? Is that what you think?” (King)
“Yes, that’s what I’m saying. After all…” (Aldis)
“I see. Is that how you see our people?” (King)
Air around the King changed as the fury of a man who ruled a country penetrated everyone who was present.
Some shuddered and rubbed their arms, others shriveled and shrunk. Some, fearing for their own safety, tried to get up from their seats.
Even the witnesses brought by Ilysis and colleagues regretted their decision to be there. Litty also felt the dignity of a man in the position of a King.
In the midst of all this, Zhul raised the signal for a counterattack.
“Your Majesty, we cannot apologize enough for our shortcomings. However, we have always done our best to complete our work.” (Zhul)
“If that’s the case, how about we look at the results of your recent undertakings?” (King)
“What results?” (Zhul)
“The training of the next generation. It’s been a long time since then, but I don’t see any results.” (King)
“Well, about that, you see…” (Zhul)
“Your Majesty, I would like to request testimony from some witnesses regarding this matter.” (Ilysis)
Saying so, Ilysis signaled the knights to bring in adventures waiting outside the courtroom. They had initially followed Yggdrasia and enjoyed their delicacies, but they had already changed their minds.
After repeated mistrust of Yggdrasia, some of them even achieved success when they worked away from Yggdrasia.
“I appreciate the fact that I was able to see Yggdrasia’s battles in person. However, I was never trained by them. I was even told that it was my fault for not being able to learn from them.” (Witness 4)
“They brought wrong ingredient – Deathshroom.” (Witness 5)
“Well, in my impression, they are not as good as the rumors suggest. I realized too late that they just wanted to show off their skills.” (Witness 6)
“You bastards!” (Aldis)
Aldis kicked the table and pushed the chair away. The knights on guard braced themselves for any unexpected situation.
Aldis had achieved results since he was a child and was hailed as a hero. It’s a side effect of his talent that led him to success without any hardship.
He did not have the mentality to match his abilities. He could have admitted his wrongdoing, apologized, and vowed to change his mind. Or simply pretended to do so.
That was the only way out of this situation, but he did not have the nerve to do it.
