A Girl Who Was Told "You Have No Talent" Turned Out To Be A Talented Monster - Chapter 99.2
Instructor Gustave, former company commander of Royal Knight, had been through many ordeals.
He had lost many of his comrades in arms, so he worked hard to train the younger generation, but many of them felt that he was overdoing it.
Although it was the duty of a leader to give guidance to those who had yet to reach a certain level, the problem was the way he did it.
He routinely shouted more abuse than necessary, and there was another thing about him that was troublesome.
“Adventurer, huh? I’d like to ask you for a favor.”
“Here he goes again…” (Other Trainees)
When he saw an adventurer, he would challenge them to a match and crush them. That was his way of doing things.
He was not as bad as Baider, but there were still people like him who simply disliked adventurers.
In his case, he didn’t approve of them because he saw them as beings who exchanged lives without control or discipline.
He was harsh on them because he shed tears over the deaths of his friends and felt the fragility of life many times.
He would rather make them stop holding the sword than to make them feel what he had experienced.
“Yes! Let’s do it!”
“Myan!”
Many people were taken aback by Litty’s excitement. Even Instructor Gustave… had not seen anyone respond with those words in a long time.
Even the adventurer from earlier was scared before finally getting into a match.
“Hmph… good spirit.”
“I’m Ready!”
“Myaan!”
Myan’s competitive bravado relieved the tension within the place.
Like usual with other adventurers, Instructor Gustave was expecting the girl to give up after being beaten down. Such a scenario was running in the mind of Instructor Gustave.
But the game was decided in an instant.
“…What?”
Instructor Gustave was being held up by Litty with a sword in front of him.
When Litty first joined the Fighter Guild, she was not allowed to use a sword.
It took her a little bit of time to learn the ropes. But now it was different.
Her experience in actual combat made her stronger. Even if her opponent was a skilled Knight, it was no longer something she could not handle.
“Gu, Gustave-san lost?”
“It was a blink of an eye…”
He, with his Knight skills, had fallen on the ground.
Gustave couldn’t help but wonder, “Do I have to train this girl?”
Was it necessary? Even when she had this much ability.
Just as he was thinking about all of this, a new visitor appeared in the Knight guild.
“Litty, I finally found you.”
At the appearance of this person, Gustave, who was in his thoughts, stood upright and saluted. So did the other instructors and apprentices.
The slender, tall woman with shoulder-length silver hair fluttering lightly spotted Litty.
The other instructors, including Gustave, who was much older than her, watched her every move.
“Ilysis-san? Why are you here?”
“It was worth gathering information starting with the Adventurers’ Guild. It seems like your partner, Roma, is in the Dancer Guild, and your new companion, Kuufa, is in the Magician Guild.”
“That’s right. How did you know that?”
“Well, with a little effort.”
The fact that the captain of the Silver Fenrir Corps of the Knight Guild, one of the core members of the Royal Army, was looking for an adventurer was a shock to all of them.
After passing the Knight Guild, a gateway to success, an entrance examination would be waiting for them. The Silver Fenrir Corps was one of the most difficult of all the Corps to enter, and those who wished to enter were required to pass a series of tests.
It was even rumored that those who took the test to enter that Corps even just once would think about having a different career in life after realizing how far behind they were.
Others join the low quality Knight corps such as the dismantled Amphisbaena corps. While some would barely make it into the Gold Gryphon Corps, the next most difficult corps to join, the rest would settle down and serve as local guards.
The Silver Fenrir Corps was considered to be the star among those who wished to participate in the Kingdom’s wars.
Watching the situation, everyone was thinking that it might be a direct recruitment.
