[Vol. 1] Chapter 31: The Mysterious Girl

In the villa, Yinyue and Zhang Wenze constantly discussed matters regarding the Séance Society.

“Do you guys know about the Vice Dean’s abilities?” Yinyue suddenly asked.

If they knew the other’s abilities, dealing with them should be much easier.

“Of course, we do. His ability is…”

Zhang Wenze stopped halfway through his sentence suddenly.

“Ah! Yinyue, what were you just saying?”

Zhang Wenze suddenly rubbed the back of his head, seeming to have forgotten the previous question.

Yinyue was furious and wanted to punch someone. It was already such a critical time, and he still had the mood to joke around. Without hesitation, Yinyue directly stepped on Zhang Wenze’s foot.

After waiting in the living room for a while, Yinyue felt a wave of drowsiness wash over him, and he slowly closed his eyes.

Yinyue stood bewildered on the surface of the water, observing her surroundings. She noticed that the water around her was pure white.

Suddenly, Yinyue heard someone calling her name. The voice was identical to the one she heard at the altar that day, but this time it sounded weak and feeble.

Who could be calling her, and what could be their purpose? Why did she keep encountering strange things lately?

Following the sound, Yinyue saw a silver-haired girl lying under a golden-silver tree. The girl was covered in wounds, especially a wound on her chest from which golden blood continuously flowed, dyeing the sea around the tree golden.

Yinyue couldn’t see the girl’s face clearly as she approached her. However, she instinctively kept her distance from the mysterious girl, as if an invisible force was preventing her from making contact.

“Protect it…”

The voice of the girl echoed again, and then a burst of white light engulfed Yinyue. Before she could understand what was happening, she found herself back on the sofa in the villa.

Yinyue held her chest, her heart racing, struggling to catch her breath and sweating profusely. Who was the girl asking her to protect? And who was she?

Yinyue realized she was still in her female form in reality, with her right hand holding ?Daytime?. When did she summon ?Daytime?? Yinyue quickly put ?Daytime? away.

What about Yeming?

Yinyue looked around and saw Yeming lying on the sofa. She breathed a sigh of relief, thinking Yeming had gone missing.

The priority was to change back as soon as possible. Yinyue activated her power ring to channel energy, preparing to transform back. Otherwise, if her young lady returned and found her like this, she would be caught on the spot.

The power ring flashed with blue light, indicating that it had started to work, but after a while, Yinyue still hadn’t transformed back.

Yinyue’s heart raced with panic.

What was going on? Could it be broken?

She tapped the ring, and the blue light on it became noticeably dimmer.

No way, why would it suddenly malfunction?

At that moment, footsteps were heard outside the door. Those footsteps were all too familiar to Yinyue. Her young lady was back.

Of all times to return, why now? Oh heavens, this couldn’t be intentional, messing with her like this!

Yinyue quickly got up and rushed to the second floor. In the pitch-black corridor, Yinyue groped around, feeling the darkness. It was so dark, but she couldn’t turn on the lights.

Wasn’t it obvious to her young lady that someone was upstairs if the lights were on? Why didn’t her young lady turn on the lights upstairs before leaving, just like she did downstairs?

Yinyue heard the sound of the villa’s door opening. Her young lady had already opened the door. She had to find a place to hide. Yinyue suddenly felt a door handle. Without hesitation, she slipped inside.

Inside the room, Yinyue summoned a faint light with her power. She found herself in the bathroom. It took her so long to find it last time, but this time she found it effortlessly. Yinyue didn’t know what to say.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Yuluo watched her living room.

There were obvious signs of a fight, and after the fight, someone very considerate had tidied up.

Yuluo noticed Yeming on the sofa. Yeming jumped up from the sofa and onto Yuluo’s shoulder, rubbing against her face incessantly.

“All right, little one, tell Dad what happened.”

After hearing it, Yeming nodded, transformed into a catgirl loli, and told Yuluo about what happened.

Yuluo smiled upon hearing it.

“So that’s the reason.”

Yuluo sensed the location of the power ring through her ability.

“Had she hidden in the bathroom? Perfect. I was tired today and it was time for a bath.”

Yuluo ascended the stairs slowly.

Yinyue listened to the footsteps getting closer and thought, “Please don’t come up!”

Yuluo walked up to the bathroom door and grasped the handle. Yinyue’s heart was pounding.

Why did she come straight to the bathroom as soon as she returned?

Hmm…that seems like a pretty normal thing to do, huh?

Yuluo opened the door and found no one inside the bathroom. She walked in.

Meanwhile, Yinyue had already used her ability to turn invisible. That was close, she almost got caught. Good thing she reacted quickly.

But because she wasn’t using moonlight to turn invisible, Yinyue couldn’t move at all now. Otherwise, her invisibility would be lifted.

Yuluo approached Yinyue, who was looking at her young lady in front of her. Yinyue wondered if her young lady would notice her, which made her heart beat faster.

Yuluo didn’t see through Yinyue’s invisibility. She just chuckled softly, then turned around, facing away from Yinyue.

Seems like she wasn’t discovered. Yinyue breathed a sigh of relief. But what was her young lady doing?

“After playing all day, I’m exhausted. Finally, I can take a proper bath.”

Oh, so it’s just a bath. She thought she was caught.

In front of Yinyue, Yuluo slowly began to remove her upper clothing. The shirt was just halfway off, revealing Yuluo’s fair and smooth back.

Yinyue watched the scene in front of her, feeling her body heat up.

She thought, ‘No, I can’t peek at Miss bathing. If I continue like this, I’ll faint. If I get caught, my career as a maid will be over… No, it’s probably over already… Maybe.’

Yinyue wanted to close her eyes, but doing so would dispel her invisibility, and then her young lady wouldn’t just be taking a simple bath.

At that moment, Yuluo suddenly stopped halfway through undressing. Huh? Why did she stop suddenly? Wait, what am I thinking? Sometimes Yinyue really wanted to slap herself.

“I suddenly remembered that I haven’t grabbed my clothes yet. I’ll go get them first.”

Yuluo put her shirt back on, opened the bathroom door, and went out to find the clothes she wanted to wear.

“Sister Yueyue is really doesn’t let people relax.”

Yuluo put on her cat mask again.

It looked like Miss Black Cat was going to be back in action.
