Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 149.4
The priests and orphans who were unaware of the situation moved out of the temple. However, the next generation of educated priests remained in the basement.
For Ursula, an orphan, those in the temple were her only family. Especially the children who would become the next generation of the Order were her beloved and irreplaceable sisters, who would continue to correct the world with the light of the Holy Church even after her death.
Carla, sensing a faint magic power coming from the iron door, usually guarded by priest-knights, further inside the orphanage, pointed her magic-filled fingertips toward the door.
“Stop it!!!!”
“–[Lightning]–“
A flash of light burst from Carla’s fingertip, and a huge bolt of lightning shot in a straight line and pierced Ursula, who immediately used herself as a shield. The lightning bolt penetrated the iron door behind her, and the white-hot iron burned the surrounding wood, causing white smoke to begin rising.
Ursula, who was almost burned to death, but escaped instant death with the magic resistance of “Blessing,” prayed to God and asked God as she fell to the ground.
Why did God allow such evil to exist?
How could they, who have destroyed the evil of the Holy Church in the name of God, be subjected to this?
She loathes it. The evil of this world. And God, who left it unchecked. And the grandson of the temple head who brought such a monster into this place.
Ursula ended her fruitless life, cursing God and everything related to her for the first time in her life.

Caught off guard and thrown a foreign object into the room where the object he was guarding was located, Theo returned to the mansion at full speed and opened the door as he ran up the stairs.
“Young Lady!!!”
Theo also had poison resistance, but was wary of the unknown poison, so he covered his mouth with a cloth and released Magic into the room.
“–[Gust]–!”
The level 2 wind Magic, meaning Gust, blew the toxins in the room through the open window.
Since entering the room, there was no smell that seemed like poison, and there was nothing wrong with Theo’s body. However, in the room, the two servants who had been summoned by their master were lying with earthy faces, holding their hearts, and behind them, a figure that looked like a young lady was crouching.
“Young Lady…”
Theo’s voice stopped mid-sentence as he tried to run up to her.
“…ahah…ahahaha…”
Alicia laughed as she held her chest. Alicia slowly stood up and turned around as Theo stood cowering, unable to speak to her at the odd sound of her voice.
Theo involuntarily backed away from Alicia, who was enveloped in the magic of light from her entire body and laughing high with a terrible complexion, her mouth stained with the blood she spit out.
“Theo, look at me! I can finally use the magic of light! Hahahahaha!”
“…”
Theo gasped, losing color at the bizarre sight.
Alicia Mercis was unable to learn Light Magic.
That was why her strategy was stalled, but as a prank of fate, Alicia received a poison that created a Magic Stone clot in her heart, and through her unusual persistence, she survived by converting the Magic Stone in her heart into a Magic Stone of light.
She was later called a saint by the recommendation of the King’s brother, and energetically began to capture the Crown Prince and his family, which further deepened the rift between the Crown Prince and his fiancée.
And so, with the princess who had been a political stopgap and the girl who had been a deterrent in terms of military force gone, the school was heading toward further chaos.

“What the…?”
Late at night, at the entrance of an empty temple, Nathaniel’s body trembled at the faint sound of a strange noise.
Nathaniel listened to the wish of the girl he had fallen in love with and asked the Holy Church Order to educate Carla, but as time passed, he was losing confidence in whether he had done the right thing or not.
No matter how badly Carla had treated Alicia, could Nathaniel, on his own, inflict such cruelty on her that she would lose her personality?
Even if he did, it would be against the Crown Prince’s fiancée. Even if he wished to, he should have asked his grandfather, the head of the temple, for permission before doing so.
And what would be his responsibility if his grandfather did not agree to it?
Ursula agreed to do it, so it was not only his fault. God would never allow people like Carla and Aria to disrespect human life, so he could not be wrong.
Even while thinking this, Nathaniel came alone to find out what had happened, hiding so that the matter would not become public knowledge.
Only today, the priest knight who was supposed to guard the entrance was not there. Feeling anxious and disheartened by this fact, Nathaniel opened the door to the temple with the key his grandfather had given him and went inside, noticing a faint smell of burning and a faint smoke wafting from the back.
(Oh, my Lord! Has there been a small fire?)
There were children from the orphanage. Nathaniel, thinking that it would be terrible if the orphans were involved, but not seeing any adults to tell them, and most of all not being able to think of an excuse for why he was here so late at night, stepped into the back by himself out of petulance.
“…Hiiii!”
“How are you, Nathaniel-sama?”
From the darkness, Carla’s slender fingertips grabbed Nathaniel by the face and knocked him down, half hunched over, and Carla walked away, dragging him along with her.
“Gyaaaaah!”
Flames overflowed from the hand that was gripping his face, and the next moment Nathaniel screamed as his face was burned–
*Dogon!!!
Fresh outside air was taken in through the entrance that was left open, and the flames that erupted from the back of the temple instantly engulfed the inside of the temple.
Radiant Fire Magic from inside the temple blew the great door at the entrance, and Carla, holding on to the screaming Nathaniel who was sprawled out, stepped out of the flames and smiled with genuine amusement at the onlookers who had rushed out from the surrounding houses who were stunned by the temple being engulfed in flames.
The late-night fire in the temple was extinguished by those who could use water Magic as the surrounding residents were still awake and the priests of the chapel rushed to the scene.
Carla, the daughter of the Count Lester, was the suspected cause of the fire, but the Holy Church, the victim of the fire, in consultation with the Royal Family and the Count Lester, decided to drop the matter as an unknown suspect, fearing that the assassination attempt and the underground educational facilities would become public.
But there were witnesses, though few. One cannot put one’s foot in one’s mouth.
The nobles, fearing her insanity, expressed their dissatisfaction and uneasiness to the Royal Family and settled the matter by inspecting Carla’s qualifications to become the Crown Princess before the day of the Crown Prince’s graduation ceremony.
