Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 156.1
Movements on Each Side
The Royal Magic Academy of Cleydale was an educational institution for the children of nobles in the kingdom who were between the ages of 13 and 15, to raise the average level of the nobles who would lead the next generation of the kingdom.
The school, which was supposed to be safe, is temporarily closed after an attack by the Evil Race, and the adults searching for the whereabouts of the princess are out of sight, and a chaotic struggle under the surface has begun between the Crown Prince Ervan, the candidate for Queen Clara, the candidate for Queen Carla… and a baroness who was not even a high-ranking noblewoman. A chaotic struggle had begun below the surface.
The result exceeded even the intentions of the Evil Race, who risked their lives to kidnap the princess and planned to reduce the power of the next generation, and a dark cloud was beginning to spread over the kingdom.
There were two boys walking in the school.
Boys – it would be a bit of a stretch to call them that. In this country, the age of adulthood was 15, and although they were legally adults, they were still treated as boys in general.
However, they grew up too fast because of their excessive magical power, and their appearance became around 17 years old. This was the reason why only the “Heroine” in the story of the “Otome Game” had a “Conspicuously Young Appearance” that caught the attention of the Crown Prince.
Even in the Otome Game, the two of them initially complained bitterly about Ervan and the Heroine, but eventually, they became bystanders. But that was only because they saw the growth and personality of the Heroine, Alicia, and decided to acknowledge her in the Game.
But that is not the case now.
The two boys were very wary of Alicia Melrose, a girl who did not know what she was thinking and who tried to easily intrude into people’s hearts.
They tried to admonish Ervan, not in the story, but in the real world. However, Ervan, who had already been caged by Alicia by tolerating all his inferiority complexes as a “woman,” rejected the advice of his potential aide and friend and became more dependent on Alicia. This resulted in the two leaving Ervan’s side.
The two men, however, could not abandon Ervan, as if they knew everything…. It was possible that Alicia, who seemed to know everything about Ervan, would have eroded Ervan’s trust and captured him.
However, the girl Aria, whom they had met before Alicia, enabled them to think more realistically than they did in the story.
Aria was a harsh person, for better or worse. Her presence was both medicine and poison, and if they had not met her as an adventurer before entering the school and developed a faint liking for her, they might have rejected her as poison, like Amol and Nathaniel.
However, the two of them, who accepted her way of being, were able to have a broad perspective that allowed them to judge from situations in the kingdom as a whole and abroad, rather than being [Dreaming Boys] who were carried away by temporary feelings.
That was why the boys – Mikhail Melrose and Rockwell Dandol – concluded that, aside from their personal favoritism, Princess Elena and Aria were needed to dispel the current chaos.
“–Do you think she will tell us honestly?”
“I have heard that Mistress Carla likes Aria. If it’s us and not the nobles from the castle, maybe she’ll tell us something.”
Mikhail responded to Rockwell’s words as he walked next to him, wrinkling his brow.
The noble family that brought the Evil Race into the kingdom was not yet known. To be precise, the lower nobles and underworld organizations that worked directly with them have been found out and already disposed of, but those who gave them instructions were not known.
A list of suspects among the dozens of nobles was already made. Rockwell’s mood was darkened when he saw the name of his own sister, Clara, one of the youngest, on the list.
Clara had been preaching the dangers of Viscountess Alicia from the moment she entered the academy. It seemed like a bad bet against the odds to bring in the Evil Race to eliminate Alicia, who was always close to the Royal Family, but Clara, who had the “Gift” of “predicting the future,” was capable of doing so, and while he wanted to believe his sister, at the same time he knew that it was useless to accuse her because of that Gift.
Among the potential suspects was also Carla Lester.
Like Clara, she had been unofficially appointed as the Crown Princess, and both were considered unlikely suspects due to their age, but Carla was known to be the most dangerous noble at the age of thirteen, and was currently under house arrest in the academy for destroying the chapel of the Holy Church in the Royal Capital.
Normally, she would have been punished more severely, but the Holy Church, which suffered the damage, decided not to question her, and it was estimated that it would take a thousand knights to capture Carla, who could burn through Rank 6 demons.
If she were to be removed as a candidate for Queen before that, the situation in the country would become even worse. The current King, who caused this situation, was unable to cut off Count Lester’s faction, and as a result, the Kingdom was only able to offer her house arrest.
