Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 164.2
However, because the front line collapsed earlier than expected, the distance between them and the earth dragon was far. The team immediately chose to charge in riding on the subspecies of armored sub-dragon that they had brought along as a pack horse, knowing that they would be baptized by the dragon’s fire without being able to do anything.
The adventurers would suffer considerable damage if Jesha and the other forces that had supported them in the center of the front line were to leave. The chances of survival of the suicide squad heading for the earth dragon would also be quite low.
Even so, the adventurers who had made the desert town their “home” were shaking with fear and trembling as they regained their grip on their weapons with ferocious smiles on their faces.
But then…
Dogooooon!
Suddenly, the wagons that controlled the food and medical supplies in the last row of adventurers, further behind the sorcerers in the rear guard, caught fire, and arrows flew from behind, striking the sorcerers in the back.
“What’s going on!”
Zilgan shouted at the sound of explosions echoing from behind him.
The composition of each unit was managed by Zilgan on behalf of Jesha. It seemed that someone or something had attacked them from somewhere, but they had left behind those who were capable of fighting.
“No way–“
[Hahaha!!!]
A laugh echoed from the area where the explosion had occurred, and out of the smoke and dust of the flames, a dozen or so carapace dragons carrying people jumped out.
The number of them was almost all that had been brought in place of pack horses. The men on the armored dragons dexterously shot more arrows at the rear guard against above them, and from among the men who scattered in all directions as if fleeing without cohering, one man took the trouble to turn and come up to where he could see Jesha and Zilgan’s faces.
“You…!”
“Suck it, Zilgan, guild leader! You think we’re going to let you keep your big face in front of these dwarves and their beastly cohorts!”
The Cruzian man was an old hand in the adventurers’ guild, having reached Rank 3 in a guild where it is difficult for anyone but dwarves to reach a high rank, and his low profile meant that he was not on bad terms with dwarves or beastmen. That’s why they were included in the strike team this time.
“You are in communication with the Rizan group!”
“Of course, Zilgan! Why would a powerful race of people follow you? You’ve been making me run around like an errand boy all day, and now…”
Clank!
A hatchet released from Zilgan’s side with tremendous physical strength strikes the man, and the man who was a few dozen meters away, a safe distance away, quickly repelled it with his shield.
“…You’re a woman of bad habits, guild leader!
“What the heck do you want? You think you can survive in this town by doing this!”
Jesha, who had thrown the hatchet, barked, and the man who had thrown away his half-destroyed shield by throwing a projectile at this distance, smiled a crooked smile while breaking out in a cold sweat on the inside.
“I said it’s over today! From today on, we, the Rizan group, will rule that town! Look at that!”
The man chanted something and launched the darkness he had created into the sky, and a high-pitched sound like a whistle made with dark magic [Noise] echoed through the desert.
[Guuuuoooohhh!]
As if in response to that sound, the legs of the earth dragon stopped, and it roared towards the heavens.
Then, out of the dust cloud behind it, a group of men in jet-black robes, led by a man in black armor, raise their jet-black spears to the heavens.
“The Demon Army!”
