Desert Battle Part 2

“You missed.”

Aishe spits out in a cold tone of voice from atop the huge armored dragon, a cavalry beast.

The armored dragon may have the name “dragon,” but they were not real dragons. Like the winged but unarmed wyvern, the armored dragon was a “sub-dragon” species, a large lizard without wings, and no matter how much it grew, it never exceeded Rank 4.

However, real dragon species were fundamentally different. Even a lowly earth dragon could reap a group of adventurers with a single breath strike, and even a man-made spire a few kilometers away could be shattered.

Earlier, Aishe had spotted a “foreign object” trying to fly away from the top of a crumbling spire and had the dragon attack it. However, perhaps it was not aimed well enough, or perhaps the distance was too great, as it only managed to chip away at the top of the tower, and the foreign object was still trying to ascend further into the sky.

“…I believe that was called a balloon?”

Aishe realized what the foreign object was when she was able to see the whole thing. It was the first time he had actually seen it, but he remembered what his “sister” had taught him decades ago.

Aishe’s gut instinct told him to attack. However, his intuition proved to be wrong.

It was hard to believe that such a thing could have been in that run-down town. Whether it had anything to do with the Khalfaan Empire was unclear, but either way, if they missed it, the Demon Army’s invasion would more than likely be known to the human nations.

“Let the dragon attack again! Don’t let it get away.”

As Aishe ordered another attack on the hot air balloons, one of the Dark Elves by his side bowed his head vigorously, dripping with sweat regardless of the heat of the desert.

“I’m sorry, sir, but consecutive commands are…”

“Tsk.”

There were no skills to train monsters. It was impossible to permanently brainwash a monster with just a single skill.

The tamer was the same technical profession as alchemists and blacksmiths, and only some clans in the Demon Kingdom had inherited their skills. The training of earth dragons was carried out by order of the King of Demons, but the training of dragons was extremely difficult, and even after several years of training by the entire clan, no small number of sacrifices were made.

The Demon Army was no longer attacked by the dragon because of a special drug and dark magic suggestion, but the suggestion could be broken if a series of orders were given.

“Hurry up.”

“…Ha.”

Still wrinkling his brow, Aishe commanded, and the man, the head of the Tamer clan, with his dark skin turning blue and frightened, ran to the rear where the earth dragon was.

Aishe was one hundred and thirty years old, a young man for an elf species, but he was feared by the Demon Army for his fierceness. At the root of this was the experience of losing his only family in the war with the humans fifty years ago, and his hatred for the humans continues to smolder even now, fifty years after the war.

Aishe would kill even women if they disturbed him.

Aishe stared at the hot air balloon with such hatred in his eyes, and the light that spilled from it and fluttered like silver wings fluttered into his eyes.

“…What?”

Two thousand demon soldiers marching forward. The centurion, Hasan, who was ordered to be the spearhead among them, witnessed a silver light fluttering down from a spire that seemed to have been attacked by a dragon.

The figure, fluttering particles of light like wings, looked from a distance like a fairy tale “angel,” and Hasan involuntarily narrowed his eyes.

“This is foolish…”
