Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 189.3
The naïveté and weakness that had been present in Camille was now gone, and I could sense an unprecedentedly strong determination in him. I was sure that even with his borrowed Combat Skill, he would now be able to wield it to its fullest potential.
We closed the distance between us as if nipping at each other with our toes, and the Intimidation we unleashed on each other flooded the place. I narrowed my eyes slightly, and the moment a ray of sweat on Camille’s cheek fell from her chin, we kicked the ground at the same time.
“–[Unleash] –“
“–[Iron Rose]–“
My peach-blonde hair turned a gray-iron color, particles of light scattered like silver wings as I moved, while strong magical light was released from the two magical swords held by Camille.
“–[Dancing Ripper]–!”
A level 5 dagger technique, [Combat Skill], a series of eight raging blows fired from the left and right side of the sword were coming at me.
There was no way to avoid the eight slashes, from which were delivered to corner a target, preventing escape by ordinary means. As was the case with other Combat Skill, the only way to stand up to the Combat Skill was to overpower it with an even greater force.
Clank!
“–!”
Camille’s eyes widened as I repelled the first blow with my dagger.
Even if I used the Iron Rose, it was difficult for me to avoid the attack or block it after seeing the [Dancing Ripper]. So instead of receiving it, I read its trajectory only with my instincts felt on my skin rather than seeing it with my eyes, and strike back at top speed.
“I won’t let you.”
The slashes with increased speed collide with Camille’s slashes as if I was the one attacking.
If Camille had been aiming for a counterattack, some of the slashes would have pierced both of us. But this was not a fight for survival, but a battle of warriors with their wills on the line.
The speed of our exchange of blows increased, but I was still able to barely block Camille’s attacks with my slashes. Camille, who should have unleashed his winning Combat Skill was conversely being attacked by me, but he did not retreat, but went straight ahead.
“Uuuoooohhhh!”
Camille shouted, and the barrage of blows that were delivered in a more intense manner that was wearing away at my spirit as I continued to read the trajectory of the attack. But Camille was also being worn down.
Rather than finish the Combat Skill in one go, Camille continued to repeat the barrage of blows, to the point that blood splatters began to dance from his arms.
Camille would rather fight with determination than to bother with his wounds.
“Haaaah!!!”
His focused his energy into his voice and unleashed a continuous chain of blows with his maximum muscle power, clearly showing that Camille was trying to get the most of his Magic Daggers even resulting in his bloodied hands, as he continued to use his Combat Skill.
With the attack from his sword still under control, I took a step forward, and from close enough to rub myself against him, I slammed a head with all my might into his brow.
*Gaan!!!
“Gaaaah!”
After falling down from the sudden head bashing, I stomped down on Camille’s chest and pointed the tip of my black dagger at him.
“Are you satisfied with this?”
“…Yeah.”
The game was decided. Camille put away the daggers and stood up again with his hand outstretched to me, his face a little brighter, though a little frustrated.
If he was satisfied, that was fine. That’s what this game was all about.
And…it was not my place to tell this, but he should have noticed that Izelle, a girl who was half Dark Elf and half Human like Camille, looked at him a little differently than that of someone looking at their Lord.
With this, I suppose the spirit has done what it was called me to do. That was why a distortion of space was created and Camille’s figure disappeared from this place.
Just when I thought I was going to be sent to Camille and the others, I suddenly heard the voice of the spirit.
[There seems to be someone trying to interfere with this place.]
The foggy white landscape in front of me changed and the night sky with the moon came into my view.
Where was I? Was I not in the lowest level of the dungeon before? The spirit told me that someone had interfered with that space. Who could do such a thing in a space inhabited by supernatural beings…?
A cool breeze caressed my cheeks, and I looked around, wondering where I was, seeing nothing but the stone floor.
“Welcome to the ‘deepest’ part of the dungeon, Aria.”
