Chapter 124 – Carry

“Owー?!”

The guitar pick generated an unusual force field as it flew straight down to Haruka. Despite him sitting quite a distance away from the stage, the pick had enough momentum to pierce through his forehead.

Of course, the part where it pierced through his forehead was just a metaphor. But still, it hurt enough that Haruka became teary eyed.

A few light pink colored hearts drifted around Haruka.

Tsuyuri’s sudden eccentric behavior shook the audience as they started to make a fuss.

“A-Are you okay? Haruka…”

“I’m fine, I’m fine.”

While Haruka picked up the guitar pick that fell on the floor, he reassured Ria.

Without caring about the reaction of the audience, Tsuyuri started playing her guitar and sang.

Different from her usual small voice, Tsuyuri’s current voice was strong, clear, and smooth. The audience settled down in an instant.

Looking out over the crowd, Tsuyuri sang with all her might as her silver hair fluttered in disarray.

[My love for you spans throughout the distant world.]

Tsuyuri stopped her guitar unnaturally and threw a guitar pick. A lot of heart marks came out.

The pick left Tsuyuri’s hand as it flew to Haruka in a large clockwise arc.

“Ouch… Hey, Tsuyuri…”

Haruka muttered Tsuyuri’s name while holding his forehead. His protesting eyes did not reach her. Or maybe they did, but she ignored it.

[You always watch over me with love and care.]

Tsuyuri threw a pick again.

“Ria, please.”

“Acknowledged.”

The pick rose up and fell down sharply, aiming at the top of Haruka’s head.

This time, Ria caught it between her index and middle fingers. Haruka managed to avoid being hit for the third time.

“Thank you, Ria.”

“You’re welcome.”

Thanking her, Haruka quickly kissed Ria’s lips.

With a proud, yet embarrassed smile, Ria accepted Haruka’s affection.

Tsuyuri gazed at Haruka as she concentrates on playing the guitar.

After the first verse, Tsuyuri played the guitar solo of the interlude with sharp finesse, and then she threw three picks at the same time.

The three guitar picks head straight to Haruka in three different directions, scattering a large number of hearts.

“Obi-kun…!”

Reika covered Haruka’s head with her body as she embraced him. Two picks hit Reika at the back of her head.

The remaining one was neutralized by Ria.

[Dear King, watch over us. Make our love everlasting.]

Unparalleled singing ability, unrivaled performance.

The song went on as Tsuyuri performed the divine act of throwing guitar picks and refilling them whenever she has moments to spare.

The picks were only thrown at Haruka’s direction. A lot of Tsuyuri’s fans had been driven insane at the fact.

[The distance between us is not an obstacle.]

As soon as Tsuyuri threw the pick, her guitar transformed into a violin.

Holding the violin bow from her waist, Tsuyuri played the guitar solo of the interlude on a violin.

The audience exploded at the feat.

[We are always connected.]

After the interlude, Tsuyuri puts back the violin bow as her violin transformed back into a guitar.

Tsuyuri takes out a new guitar pick and played her guitar with a nonchalant expression on her face.

[Someday I will be united with you. The King will surely guide me.]

Towards the second half of the performance, Tsuyuri kept making eye contact with Haruka.

[The distance between us is not an obstacle.]

Tsuyuri played the last guitar pick with her thumb, and then threw it straight up in the air.

The pick rotated, gradually changing into a pinkish glowing sphere.

[We are always connected.]

The sphere fell due to gravity.

[Forever!]

Tsuyuri kicked the sphere as hard as she could, her leg was raised so high to the point that the audience could vaguely see her underwear.

“Wai….”

The pick flew straight towards Haruka with greater force than before.

Though it probably wouldn’t be a problem if it hits, it looked like it would hurt so Haruka took a defensive stance and blocked it with both of his arms.

When Haruka opened his eyes fearfully, he found that Ria had successfully caught the guitar pick firmly.

Heart marks drifted around Haruka and then gradually disappeared into particles.

[Thank you very much.]

Tsuyuri bows her head, the other members did the same and withdrew.

The audience gave a big round of applause to the members of Susume Girls.

Even though the pick-throwing part made it difficult for the audience to concentrate, their performance was definitely wonderful.

The audience smiled in satisfaction as they watched Tsuyuri and the other girls disappear behind the stage.

“Shirogane-san is amazing.”

“Yeah, she sure is.”

Looking at all the guitar picks that they had collected, Haruka answered. She really was amazing. In more ways than one.

Haruka noticed that some of the male crowd sitting in front of them were deliberately turning their heads around and stared at him.

And among them was Shun. He glared at Haruka with an ugly expression on his face, not even trying to hide his hatred.

Haruka could only hope that nothing troublesome would happen.
