Otome Game no Heroine de Saikyou Survival [WN] - Chapter 179.3
A silent “voice” echoed from Scheherazade, and I jumped to avoid it, reacting to its killing intent. At the same time, a shockwave blew through the air, and one of the supply team behind me fell down with blood spurting out of his face.
“Wha!?”
“Scheherazade-sama, what are you…?”
The survivors of the supply team shouted in dismay as they were attacked by the one they thought had come to their aid, perhaps in cooperation with them.
The attack meant that the supply convoy was no shield, but also her determination to kill me, even if it meant turning everything against me.
“Let’s go!”
A moment later, the figure swayed in a haze and Scheherazade kicked at me, circling like a whirlwind.
Gashin!
“Kuh!!!”
The iron core of my hand guard received it as quickly as it came, and the bones of my left arm creaked as the iron core bent. Using the momentum of the kick, I somersaulted and kicked with my heel blade, but Scheherazade swung her leg up and caught it with her jet-black boots without much effort.
“”Hah!!!””
Both of us let out a breath of energy, and Scheherazade flips her skirt like a dancer as she flicks my follow-up attack with her feet once more and then countering with a kick to my head. Leaping back to face Scheherazade’s front kick, I immediately dodged knowing that I won’t be able to counter such a force that I could hear a wind-slashing sound of a roar as it approached, then I also flipped my skirt and threw a knife that I pulled out from my thigh.
Zasaaaaaa…!
“”…””
Gliding across the stone floor, we clashed again, closing our distance in an instant.
I knew there was a big difference in status between a Rank 5 Vampire and me. With that appearance, one would not think that she was a melee fighter who attacks with her legs. Using her small body and high muscle value, she skillfully threw kicks and leg attacks, even when we were close enough to rub against each other.
The jet-black high heels that caught my dagger were probably made of magic steel. In close combat, the other side had the advantage, but that didn’t mean that [Phantom Pain] probably wouldn’t work in a battle of magic. As proof of this that working, Scheherazade glared at me and carelessly pulled out the knife that was stuck in one eye that I managed to slip in when she was startled, however, the eye soon regenerated as soon as she removed the knife.
However, vampires were not invincible. Their regeneration consumes magic power, and even their seemingly immortal bodies could die instantly if the Magic Stone in their hearts were destroyed.
Even so, if we get into a battle of magical power consumption, I would be the one to run out of magical power first. Moreover, Scheherazade ignored the defense and came at me not because she was overconfident in her own abilities, but because she was trying to suppress the consumption of magic power by overpowering me physically with her regenerative and muscular strength values.
The question remained when to use our trump cards.
